Le Mans 66 -> Le Mans Bugatti year creation?

PS Surtees didn't start and Foyt was only on entry list (AJ was injured at Indy500)

there might be more in the picture than you're seeing.
i could give you a hand, and point it out...

    but not yet

but i can confirm, the colour-banding of the gradient in the corner of the frame doesn't relate to ovals, or anything else besides limited colour depth. The circuit is not a four corner oval.

I feel like the big empty space in the top left is a big clue, but I cant get anywhere with that

sorry, it's not a clue.. as such o_O
If i had clipped the blank area off it wouldn't have made any difference to the puzzle. But you might wonder why that area is empty, and indirectly you might find a loose thread to the puzzle. Like a reverse engineering of the puzzle perhaps, if you want to look at it that way. But the blank space itself is not a clue.

you might see who is the odd one out, or who is the key, or who wasn't a winner, or who took the victory

And Graham Hill didn't race in 67 at Le Mans and Foyt won in 67 -> LM Bugatti F1 race in 67 -> LM Bugatti
But Gurney won 67 LM too

there are some good thoughts there, and some facts about motorsport history.
perhaps some attention can go to the drivers that aren't pointing?

Hulme, Andretti, Amon, Surtees and Gurney?

Hill does a bras d'honneur to Foyt no? A problem between Foyt and Hill about LM67?

Ok, I dont see anything about drivers who aren't pointing.

Hill is the odd or not indeed? Hill's two fingers are important?
