Hello, I don´t see any race events in rfactor 2. View attachment 20906 Any idea? I use the steam version and have installed various tracks and cars.
If you're not subscribed to or missing even one piece of content that is part of a RaceEvent, then it won't show up or be listed as installed. Also are you subscribed to the RaceEvent Workshop item? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=547589245&searchtext=race+events
Yeah for the RaceEvents to work ideally you need to be subscribed to all of the base content. So for example if you have 7 of the 8 tracks required, meaning just one track is missing, then that RaceEvent will not be installed, even if you are subscribed to the RaceEvent workshop item. If you want to automatically be re-subscribed to ALL ISI and 3PA content in the Workshop then you can, if you want, do the following: Close rFactor 2 and the Launcher Open Steam, right click on rFactor 2 in your library, choose "Properties" in the dropdown menu. In the pop up "General" tab click on the button "Set Launch Options" In the field that pops, up type in +Workshop and click OK Open the Launcher (a few rfcmps will auto-install on opening) Note: This will subscribe you to ALL ISI and 3PA content in the workshop, so there may be a portion that needs to be downloaded. Make sure before you do this you're ok with downloading. - Also I would advise going back in the erasing "+Workshop" from "Set Launch Options" after all content has been installed.
Hi there @Christopher Elliott, thanks to the Steam sale I am new to rf2 and experience the same problems. I cannot find the 'Race Event Workshop Item' in Steam. Do you have a link? My Dropdown box is also empty. When adding +Workshop a short popup displays 'auto subscribing to workshop items' but approx two thirds of ISI and S397 content is still not subscribed. There are still other issues on creating a server, but I will open a separate post on that ;-) many thanks in advance, Chris
We've removed the RaceEvents workshop item for now. You'll need to go here https://steamcommunity.com/id/studio-397/myworkshopfiles/?appid=365960 and manually subscribe to everything to get most of the current base content. +Workshop only works for the old ISI items.
