I update my guess, I mean... my hope xD
    DX/graphic engine update
    Physic stuff (like hybrid)
rF2 focus change to be a complete game with modding support rather than a platform :p

I'll be happy if all rF2 bugs and features become solved/completed, kind of a finished product, which is not ATM, for me this is more than enough...

You're reading too much into it. It's just a bug fix.

It is indeed massive news and hopefully over the coming weeks ISI/Studio-397 can provide a breakdown of what the short term / long term goals of the deal are aside from the headlines such as dx11 etc or offer a open Q&A session. Obviously with this partnership/merger the rf2 product will have to change and provide longer term income (something rf2 does not currently do) such as paid DLC, will modding remain open, will we see more of a web hub to support racing (think iRacing).

It's certainly a interesting time for the rF2 product and look forward to seeing what the road holds for all.

I hope this now puts to bed the "slow development" slogan RF2 has got, yeah it's not fast but ISI released more than enough Builds & Content in recent years (gamers always want more eh?!). I look forward to what Marcel and his team will bring to RF2, above the ideas listed in that article future work on the core of the game will be appreciated, the future looks good for RF2 :)

P.S. Hope they dedicate some time to improving the already very good AI, can never have enough of that :D

Oh please please please don't do it in a web, add this sytem to the launcher (and rework it).

I should have aimed much higher with my guess!

    Exciting times indeed.

You're outta luck, same route as iRacing is seems, which I personally like as I have no issue with web based.

    Says the Open Racing Simulation.
Also they say they will continue and expand working with modders.

    Great news I think!

So looks like updated Interlagos and a new, fantasy track with some hints of semi-Lienz atmosphere should be coming soon. Good to see Marcel getting in the midst of it all, it will be interesting to see him running things.

Dislike the web-based aspect unless it is segregated from single-player. Must say I don't understand some user comments about wanting to pay more for what we already have.

I really hope this is good news, ISI have created my favourite racing sim and I would love to see it evolve into it's potential.

I have quite a few reservations about this news. I hope to hear more concrete intimation soon. Perhaps a FAQ would ease my concerns.

Honestly figured my dream of ever racing classic Spa and Monaco (AC has Monza) in VR was dead. Such a wonderful surprise:)

On a semi-related note, finally got around to installing Revive yesterday and was positively shocked at how amazing Assetto Corsa is with the Vive. Spent a lot of time with AC and the DK2, but with the Vive's crystal clear optics, larger FOV, and significantly brighter screens, I was amazed by how radically better it is now. The only thing that's ever come close to shocking my senses like that was when I played Daytona USA or Super GT in the arcade for the first time.

What am I missing? Is my browser blocking something? At the bottom it says: Buy now on Steam.
