    Hello.
I decided to share the track, which I converted from a rFactor 1 version found somewhere on the Internet.
It is still far from perfect but pretty usable for online races.

To be honest... Not so much, I'm afraid...

The track is completely flat (there should be roughly 26 meters elevations in real life), textures, material settings and mapping needs (lots) of improvement, there is no AO, z-fightning etc.

To me, this looks straight port over another platform to rF2 without any work, which is required to bring conversion up to rF2 standards.

The lack of elevation change means that no matter how much work is put into the many graphics issues, it won't matter much. I am happy to wait for a proper quality conversion in the future.

Need to keep tracks like this in context. This isn't supposed to be the Baku everyone uses for years, it's just been put here to give people/leagues who want to drive on "a Baku track" the chance to do so, especially around the time of the real race there. Sure, a lot of the layout details aren't right (though a lot of those details weren't known until very close to the race) and the elevations are completely lacking, but someone's spent more than 5 mins making this thing and someone else has taken some of their time to bring it into rF2 for those that might want it. It doesn't look exactly like the real Baku but it's got nearly every corner, those it has turn the right way, the trackside objects are relevant, so it's better than anything else if you want Baku.

Of course at some point something better will come along and replace this; that's modding.

I think it's dangerous to talk this sort of stuff down unnecessarily. I'd rather have 4 versions of a track to choose from over time than wait 2 years for a good one to come out.

To the certain point, I agree with you Lazza.

But if someone spent few hours to convert it, it wouldn't take too long to adjust (albedo) textures and material settings to meet rF2 requirements. Even if you do not know how to do it, you can always check out wiki. All necessary information is told there.
That is my main reason to "not like it too much".

There're very nice details in this track and interesting objects for sure. But I'd suggest to don't be eager to see the track in-game and spend as much time as possible in terrain elevations because after to positioning all trackside objects, wall, etc, it would be a nightmare to correct afterwards.

Thanks for sharing, it's fun to drive!
