Hi guys, I have a problem with lights in game, I edit lines "max headlights" and "Headlight on cars", but don't work for me, can't someone explain me what can I do? Thanks!!!
My problem is, when i drive, the lights of other cars disturb me. I edit these two lines in player, but don't work for me.
4 years too long. There are cars I could simply not handle to do 30 minute + night races with. Howston and Lolas are terrible 200-300% too bright. Street Corvette is among best for mine, I could drive that all night.
in the day time , people who run with headlights are throwing way too much light- i dont use hdr, they wash out the view of the track when near them, like its night time, it really throws me off and i would like to adjust the brightness if possible(i dont race at night very often) - If you put headlights on a real car in daytime they do not have that effect ,
Just guessing here, but probably that setting was removed from rF2. I think the game manages the number of visible headlights automatically now.
rF2 is not intended to be run with HDR off, no aspect of graphics is optimized for that mode. I think ISI should hide the HDR disable option somewhere deep inside JSON file so it would be harder to find, would save a lot of problems and complaints on forum.
people who do not have a powerful graphics suffer if HDR and goes very bad frames with HDR enabled ............ because you can not completely turn off the headlights when it is day? frames goes wrong for me thanks
yeah that's my issue with hdr, it kills my frame rates ....are folks here saying the headlights aren't too bright in the day time when hdr is turned on? is that why you are saying it should be on ie: because it fixes that problem ?
LDR (hdr off) it's basically a legacy option. There's nothing we are gonna do to improve it visually and you should not really switch back to it unless you are running a dinosaur PC.
But is there a way to reduce the max headlights? Driving in the VEC is not very funny when the sun goes down, because i get a massive frame drop caused by the high headlight count, even if i reduce all graphic settings to low. My PC is not i dinosaur but i use a triple screen setup and ther performance is not so good in such situations and if the headlight entry could work it would be very helpfully
You should find the offender, or at least the bigger one. I don't know details about that mod but may be they are using some headlight mesh flare with lot of vertex? BTW did you try reducing the amount of visible car? Reducing general graphic settings it's not gonna help that mutch if the main offender is the headlight (both light and mesh) pipeline. I would really try reducing the amount of visible car to 10/15 or something in a range your system can manage without struggling.
