Have we finally got an alternative to iRacing scoring system for MP racing? Maybe because this looks very promising and professional: http://www.simracingsystem.com/
in a nutshell it is a system that allows you to race on servers which will allocate reward you with points for good driving and penalise you for bad driving. eg: Incidents will affect both your scoring and rating. Each incident will subtract 5 points to your score. If you reach 20 incidents on a race, you will be suspended for a week. It is perhaps the beginning of an alternative to the iRacing rating system which can be implemented for rF2, rF, GSCE and Arca. Details here: http://www.simracingsystem.com/regulation.php It is still early days but has potential to consolidate and even revolutionise online simming.
Interesting but needs more information about the client SW. How it work and which kind of information are collected?
Yes looks interesting. I registered logged in and was unable to download the client software as link doesn't work. I was then not able to post in the forums as there was no create post button and then website logged me out automatically and I was unable to log back in.
Hello, I'll try to answer the questions asked on this topic. When you register at www.simracingsystem.com, you must use your real first and last names, otherwise the account will be deleted. Activation is done at first stage by confirming your email and always accepted manually by an admin. If the username isn't available, add a middle name or initial letter. When you register there's a warning regarding this. Build 1052 solved some issues that prevented SRS to use rF2. The image shown above refers to v1.11 of the client. V1.21 has been released and rF2 is now available. If you have installed V1.11, go to your Sim Racing System folder and run updater, then run srs.exe and add rF2. Since the last weekend tests went well, we are moving to a 5 week test season, 24/7, which started last Sunday. How does this work? well you have 6 series running: Megane Trophy, Clio Cup, Stock cars and 3 series of a sim that uses Gmotor II engine. 5 weeks season, each week has a different track, if you race up to 2 races, best result counts. If you race more than 2 races, the result will be the average of all your results during that week. See ya on track! If you have more questions, feel free to ask. Regards
Hello Martin, It is possible yes. At this stage i'm using ISI content to test the system but i intend to let the users vote for the mods.
OT Yes! ...the great rF2 anomaly. My belief is 95% of people that drive sims must be unfeeling drones. lol
With the system needing to change player profile name to real name I feel many will be reluctant to take it up. Players are very attached to their player names.
thats just standart in this type of systems . like race2play uses real names iracing uses real names. Cmon this is free iRacing dunnno why nobody get exicted
Dunno, but I just joined, because if everyone will wait for a free service to be populated enough ... then it will never be.
unfortunately for me my user name is too short to satisfy the registration requirements. what is the workaround?
