Is there a way for be warned when the rain start to fall? yesterday i was driving in a race and at some point I heard the sounds of water drops, but the circuit looked dry and no waterdrops was falling. some corner later the cars become unresponsive and then rain start to drop. I dont know if it's a problem of my graphic setting (almost on high, water drop on) or the weather plugin used, it's no good to hear the sound and not see the drops... this is confusing, i was thinking maybe the sound i heard was some debris picked up with tyres and then "shooted" against the undertray but i was wrong Maybe a system that tell you "hey it's raining!" or something like an icon with clouds and rain? At this time the transition beetween sun and rain it's not very good Obviously the best thing would be to see the drop instantly and maybe a spotter that warn you of the weather changes Thanx in advance and sorry for my english, as always
In my best Julie Andrews falsetto... "Raindrops on windshields and deformable panels, these are a few of my favorite things."
Thx for the suggestion Dont know why but trackmap plugin crash constantly at startup, i reinstalled VC redist like suggested in the readme but i have no luck, dont know why, maybe a problem in how i put the files? 64 bit plugin bin64\Plugin folder trackmap folder in rf2 root folder d3d9dll in bin 64 folder Am i wrong? even 32 bit version suffer the same crash
Weather is poorly visualized - there's nothing wrong with your graphics setting. I don't use dynamic weather in rF2. I'd love to, but it makes no sense in it's current state of development.
Track ? Sounds like realroad has not been set properly, reading OP. We are currently practicing for 24 Hour of Spa with real weather plugin, and it's working just fine - only in the dark it can be tricky to see reflections.
Yep, drops big enough to see flood the track very quickly. Even drops too small to see will flood the track, it just takes a bit longer. Weather right now is useable, but you have to accept some shortcomings. What, someone helping the OP 'see' what the weather is doing, as per their original request?
Next build 'fixes' the very fast changes in track conditions, we are now using 1046, much better! 30+ cars can now maintain a semi damp racing line in light rain. Putting intermediates into play
Set it to always the same You can drive in the rain. But it's very difficult to make decisions if you try to judge weather by what you see. For example - you don't see the rain coming, only a change in sky appearance. So you don't know if it's going to be a strong rain until it gets strong. Actually it's the same with all games - weather changes everywhere simultaneously. rFactor 2 has the ability to produce different conditions in different areas, but unfortunately graphics engine is not capable of showing that.
