    Hi Everyone,
    New to Rfactor2 and having a problem configuring the correct graphics settings. I have read too many threads and I cannot solve this. I have an ROG laptop...Nvidia 970m card.. with an ASUS gaming monitor (60hz...:(). Im hoping someone can suggest proper NVidia and in game settings. Thanks, MM

    So what have you tried so far based on your research?

    I'm having a GTX970m on my laptop.

    graphics setup ==> View attachment 19150

    Ingame settings ==> View attachment 19151

    FPS with a 45 cars at the start ==> View attachment 19152

    FPS after my crash and the AI were a bit more out of view ==> View attachment 19153

    So your GTX970m should handle rF2 fine at maximum settings. But i need to plugin the power, because FPS drop half on battery's. But they go back up when i plugin the power again. I think it's ECO mode or something.

    thx for the reply....I've messed with forcing a higher screen resolution...which worked but didn't give any better results. I have adjusted NVidia control panel setting based on others suggestions, but that did not seem to work. I tried vsync on and off with many other settings, but that didn't work. I am really not interested in getting the endless amounts of options perfect. I would be content with the just knowing a good baseline so I can just race!!! This is not my forte...cleary!!:cool:

    http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/rf2-graphic-bugs-things-to-check-first.106607/

    rF2 creates "shader" files based on your graphic settings. Everytime you make changes to your graphic settings and load a track it overwrites the shader files based on your new graphic settings.

    So loading time is longer the first time you load a car/track combo with new graphic settings. It's much faster the second time (if you didn't change settings)

    To clean up this stuff: http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/rf2-graphic-bugs-things-to-check-first.106607/

    Some track/ car combo's are more demanding then others.

    What i do to get better preformance:
    Road reflections ==> Low
    Shadows ==> high or medium
    Shadow blur ==> optimal or fast

    AA level 3 ==> On Feels 3 tracks (Croft, Poznan and Putnampark) I set AA level on 3 to get ride of transparent trees.

    These ingame settings: ==> View attachment 19156

    With a lot of cars on screen ==> View attachment 19157

    With cars out of the picture ==> View attachment 19158
