Is this a joke!?

So today I said to myself, let me do some racing on my beloved rF2 when I found out that I cannot join a SINGLE server.....................

 

Why couldn't you join ?

Really strange, some appears joinable and some not. If i click on a server wich should be joinable, the race button stay grey and all other server, i tried afterwards, are not joinable too.

 

Well if it is it's not a very good one...

 

I tried again, when i`m clicking on a "wrong" server, e.g. wrong build, afterwards most server i tried, stay grey/black, not joinable.

sometimes it`s working, but i can`t see any system/orderliness behind...

 

matchmaker issue's? cant try myself ,at work but have read same on other forums atm.

 

seems to be the reason. I noticed also, starting the mp takes much longer, i can see the window with my user and password for 3-4 seconds, wich i havn`t seen before...

 

I have seen that, the login info, as well over the course of the last few days. Maybe ISI are working on their side of the matchmaker. They need to update it to allow for Steam users to be visible to non steam users. *Fingers Crossed*

I also noticed that 4 of the 5 ISI official servers were not listed in the Match Maker earlier today either.

 

but if so, it wouldn`t hurt to inform their customers, isn`t it?

I am in France, No Steam version.

 

Would be cool, to have a filter function in the rf2 online launcher. Just a dream

But you are right. Its frustrating to find a server. Some are
- private
- other build
- already in the race session
- mods that I don't have
- full
- empty
- or just a connection issue

That the reason why I very often join the ISI server. They run most times without any issue, but most times without players.

 

Idk if related but yesterday using Google DNS made the lobby very slow to show the servers, fixed that when changed to Open DNS.
I had the same problem reported in this thread but only 1 or 2 servers no matter what DNS I was using so I thought it had something to do with their config about downloading mods from it

 

I had/have the same problem and honestly, gave up on trying to fix it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't so I just accepted I have to live with it and this is the RF2 online service (paid service mind you). On thing you could try doing is in the settings to switch spectator On/Off...sometimes it helps.
