    Rules & Regulations
The SCWS will be run in 21 Rounds from February to November, using the old school rules & regulations.
The Champion will be the Driver with the most Points scored at the end of the 21 Round.
Each Round will use the same Latford's scoring sytem, used in Nascar from 1975 to 2003 (175, 170, 165,... with addtionnal 5 points for leading 1 lap and leading the most laps).
The Qualification session will be held right before the Race. Each Driver will have 2 Hotlaps to Qualify, alone on track. There is no Point scored in Qual.
For on track behaviour, one word is enough to summarize the rules : RESPECT. As much as it is applicable, real life ruleset will be used to sanction Driver's conduct.

    Calendar (still provisonnal)
The SCWS will primarily use ISI and 3PA Ovals, otherwise a review of the track will be required to make sure it meets our needs. Some Rounds of the second half of the season are left open for eventual newly realeased tracks (if there is none available in time, then SCWS will revisit the tracks used in the first half of the season). If you know any other Oval, feel free to indicate it in this Thread.

1 Round every 2 Saturdays, at 20:00 UTC (afternoon in the Americas, evening in Europe, morning in Australia/Asia) :
    1. 6 Feb : Mountain Peak 555 (555 km = 345 miles = 235 laps)
    2. 20 Feb : Brookdale 200 (322 km = 200 miles = 140 laps)
    3. 05 Mar : Eagle Creek 200 (322 km = 200 miles = 137 laps)
    4. 19 Mar : Apple Valley 200 (322 km = 200 miles = 100 laps)
    5. 02 Apr : Alabama 200 (322 km = 200 miles = 75 laps)
    6. 16 Apr : Jacksonville 500 (500 km = 310 miles = 125 laps)
    7. 30 Apr : Northside 200 (235 km = 146 miles = 200 laps)
    8. 14 May : Palm Springs 200 (322 km = 200 miles = 134 laps)
    9. 28 May : Nazareth 200 (200 km = 124 miles = 125 laps)

    21. 12 Nov : Palm Springs 555 (555 km = 345 miles = 231 laps)
    * Provisional : could be replaced if new tracks are available.

More details will be added as they come. Weather and Day Time are left to be determined.

    Preliminary Rounds
Additionnaly, 2 Preliminary Rounds are scheduled :
    P1- 23 Jan : Indianapolis
    P2- 30 Jan : Jacksonville
These Preliminary Rounds are not mandatory, however you are strongly advised to show up if you plan on signing up to the series.
The goal is to ensure the server settings are working as expected and gauge the participation.

    Constructors Championship
A Constructors Championship will be held in parallel to the Drivers championship.
Constructors are Centennial / Edgar / Titan. To ensure the competition is alive till the end of the series, for each Round, the Constructor will score the average of its up to 4 best Drivers total Points. Therefore even a 1 Driver Constructor can win the Constructor Championship.

    Registration
The primary goal is to gather & limit the Entries to 32 Drivers.

We could do Texas if it supports the amount of players we're aiming for.

Practice server up with Indianapolis, Joesville, Nazareth and Texas World Speedway alternating.
    > 30 min. Practice > 4 laps Qual. (in 5 min.) > 5 min. warm up > 25 laps Race
All needed files can be found here.
It seems a Warmup session is needed so you can see where your Pit Box is. Otherwise, if you have one of the first boxes it can be tricky.

Small changes have been made to the Calendar.
All tracks idea are welcome ! I will check TexasWS.

I have corrected a typo mistake : the Events are scheduled to start Saturdays at 20:00 UTC. This is a more Europe friendly time for longer races, but depending on participation, it can be changed.

Checking some tracks, here is what I have found/understood :
    - Nazareth has 37 pit boxes (can be shared with an other car)
    - Texas World Speedway has 32 pit boxes (not shareable with an other car)
    - Joesville has 15 pit boxes (can be shared with an other car)
    - Montreal has 12 (can be shared with an other car) -> it is an F1 track...
    - Indy 500 has 38 pit boxes (can be shared with an other car)
    - Indy 400 has 43 pit boxes (can be shared with an other car)
So, if I am correct, Nazareth and Texas *could* be possible if we stay at 32 entries while Joesville and Montreal may need to be replaced.

Yes Saturdays, only the hour could be adjusted depending on what participants says (well, note that it is Sunday morning for Australia and Asia )

You can trust TheScrapanator's answers, he set this up with me.

I'm interested in joining this league if you have a spot available. Might have two others as well. We are all former Nascar Racing 2003 Series drivers ready to get back into the action.

One question, are the setups fixed? Also, do we have dedicated servers to practice on?

    Thanks,

    mrb55

Yes, spots available ! Good to have experienced Oval drivers :)
At the moment there is a practice server "SimRacing-GP.net_Test" running Indianapolis, Nazareth, Joesville and Texas WS. At some point this week it will be only Indianapolis in preparation for the Test Round #1.
    No "fixed setup".

Hope to see you ! The amount of drivers is definitely the most difficult part... because it does not depends only on me

Hope to see you soon, the reason we have the old school point system is that we attract people like you and the others who have responded above who used to run in NASCAR 2003, and other Nascar related games.

    Welcome Sir !

That's true : gathering seasoned StockCars simracers will help, not just this series but maybe rF2 too, to do things right. So don't hesitate to invite friends, we have room !
And is the Chase a good idea anyway ?

With less than a week before the Test Round #1, it is time for interested drivers to sign up to the Event. It will help counting the Entries. Reminder : this one will be an Open server / No Point scoring race, so the goal is to practice and enjoy some Oval fun !

I'm thinking about the chase and I'm thinking yes, just not the new way. the older ways are better than this new crap they are pulling in the real world.
