When I first got back into RF2 earlier this year I was easily able to run 45-50 cars at any track I wanted. As the year has gone on I've noticed the CPU occupancy has gone up causing the AI cars to warp horribly to the point where now I can't even run 30 cars! My CPU is fairly old (AMD A6-3650) but I've had no issues until the last 2-3 months. Anyone got ANY suggestions (aside from a new CPU. I'm disabled so many doesn't grow on trees sadly.) as it's really frustrating. RF2 is the most complete, enjoyable sim out there right now and it's becoming increasingly unplayable. I've tried boosting the priority of the process but that made no difference.
Afternoon UncleBoney: Just curious, Is this on a server you are talking about?...or your personal PC.. Maybe I can throw some suggestions your way when you respond to my question.. Dave NRT
Personal PC. Couldn't afford/justify RF2's paid online when already an iRacing member. NOTHING has changed on my system in the time I've had this degradation.
OK...Understand What some have done with similar issues I am told, Is to remove the check marks from the cores and only start it on core 0. I know this is "not" the proper way to have it start, but it works for some..maybe not all. Let me know if this is feasible in your case re: cores Dave
OK..I thought it might help in your case.. Hopefully some-one else will respond back with some other ideas... Dave
