Hi guys and girls, I have had an issue ever since I went from W7 to W10. 3ds Max 2010 would keep stuffing up the veiwport and leave a ghost image where the popup screen was. Pain in the A. So today I stumbled across a fix. So simple. Have a look at the video. It is not English, but what he does is dead simple and so far works. Copy the 3dsmax.exe and save it as a copy. Do not touch or rename it. It will be 3dsmax - Copy.exe for example. Go to the short cut and change it there to the correct .exe. Load max and it should work. Here is the video;
WOW can´t believe it!!! You save my day mate, thanks a lot to share this, modding on W10 was boring until today!!!
Surely not.. The logic of why this work defies me... i have to try this EDIT : Well it works for me.. I cant see how running the same executable code that read and writes to the viewport the same way by running a copy of it gets a different result.. But it works.. I wont complain Thanks heaps
I dropped the tip in this forum months ago, you just need to press Windows Key + D twice and the ghost pop-up goes away.
Not in my end, using the fix the op posted on Max 2011 and works fine but for 2012 version this fix doesn´t work......
For 2012 3ds Max users just update the software to SP1 : https://knowledge.autodesk.com/supp...ent/autodesk-3ds-max-2012-service-pack-1.html This should do the trick!
