Any idea when the FISI2012 will have updated weather tyres?

At the moment, when racing the FISI2012 AI it is impossible for them to have a clean race. At every track (ISI and third party) the AI will always spin multiple times a lap. This was confirmed by Tim that it was a wet weather tyre issue with the FISI2012 - so like the title says....

No, things that are closer to release have taken a bit longer than expected recently, and the steam release has pushed back expected dates - or what I expected prior to them - for updates.

No surprise, really. Anyone who sincerely thought Steam wouldn't be a major distraction was simply naive. I'll cut ISI some slack as long as Eagle is ready by Xmas.

I'm not sure if that made sense or not, I'm tired. Reading it back I'm not even sure what it says.

Sometimes I'm left baffled by how bad you are at comprehending your own language ;) Try harder?

I thought Steam release wouldn't affect rate at which content artists work, but maybe I was wrong. Anyway, I forward the wish to have old cars updated (or brought to latest spec versions). CPM and working wet tire physics are badly needed, only some 20% of all cars have them now. Some cars receive a lot attention whereas others haven't had an update since 2013.

what does updating CPM have to do with artists? doesnt make any sence.. from the changelogs, only some of the updated cars got only minor graphical tweaks like dealing with flickering, but nothing major. It takes long not because of artist, but because its art to get it right

It affects release, not really production.

I meant I couldn't understand my own post, by the way, not his. :)

The Formula Sim Racing car which is a very slightly modded FISI 2012 car, (mainly dirty air and brake temp tolerance) has had some modding work done on the wet weather tyres. It was based largely on some numbers from the latest official ISI 1966 F1 cars tyre numbers.
It was done to allow FSR to move to real world real time weather including rain.
The wet tyre works very well in the wet.
The mod is available on http://formula-simracing.net/
The inter is a non event but the wet is good.
This was in fact the only race where we got proper wet weather and wet tyre use (can't plan real world weather can we now!)

Thanks I will try this out. Pretty sad that ISI don't seem to care about issues like this.

It is frustrating. But they DO care. There's no doubt about that.

Tim's response to my question - "No date, no" doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

as well as multi function on wheel display ( turn knob or press button to scroll through display options)

I know what you mean, usually ISI allways give release dates..... ohw wait ;)

However, I'm not sure this will get updated. I think this either gets updated, or they do it as with the Formula Renault (so leave this as is, and release a new one, in this case probably based on the Hybrid V6 engines + cars)

Formula 1 cars are usually flagship cars but the ones in rF2 are very dated. It can take time to update, and there's a great chance extensive tire update work is ongoing. Getting high-powered open-wheel tires "right" (as best as possible right now) will be very important as it can be filtered down to the Indycars, F-Renaults, and also a key resource for modders. So there is an added interest in taking the time for the update to be sweet. I want to drive a league in them, I really hope we have something by January.
