Random grid position not working.

I posted this on Steam forums and was told to also ask here.

If I set up a single race without a qualifying period. I always start at the front even though I have selected a random grid position. I also tried setting a position (15) and still the game started me at the front. Any ideas why this is happening?

 

Does it work if you deactivate Practice AND Qualifying Session, so that the race starts immediately if you click "race"?

 

No. I have tried with both ISI tracks and third party tracks. I always start at the front.

 

Hmm, when i do it here, i am set to these positions: 3,1,9 (3 times started the race)
I mean this setting, with Practice and Quali Session deactivated:

 

That's how it should work, but on my game, it does not. Are you running your game through Steam?

But because the KnockoutQualifying Plugin is "off" as default, shouldn't that matter.
(if he hasn't activated it)
And as written before, with practice and qualifying sessions deactivated, it works with a random grid position.
I guess it's meant to only work in "Quick-Race" mode.

 

maybe he activated it, only the OP knows, either way it works as intended when it's Off.

 

The Knockout/Qualifying plugin was on. Turning it off made random position work again Thanks guys for the help.
