    Mod:
    2014/2015 V8 Supercars by FVRFactor

    Series:
    2 x 2016 V8 Supercars - Named European V8 Supercars Series by FVRFactor.com and V8 Supercars by FVRFactor.com

European V8 Supercars to run on a Friday night from 19:00 GMT

V8 Supercars Series to run on a Saturday night from 20:30 NZT

    Tracks:
European series to have a European flavour to tracks.

V8 Supercars series to have a mainly Australian/Kiwi flavour.

    Enduro Events:
Now for the good bit. 3 Enduro events, Bathurst, Sandown and the Gold coast. Both of these are in both calendars on the same dates. So both series join up together. These events will be scheduled so that it works on both calendars, we'll need to figure this out. These are two driver events. So in effect a proper enduro.

    Entrants:
We introduce Team Franchises each team manager 'buys' (no money just a concept!) a franchise from the league to run a team of two cars.

Initial grid will be limited to 24 cars. This can be reviewed and raised to 26 if needed. This gives us the best chance of filling the grids.

A team manager is in charge of these franchises and on 'purchase' agrees a contract with the series to provide two cars with liveries and drivers for the balance of the season.

Failure to adhere to the contract will result in penalty points in the teams championship and or revocation of one or both of the rights to run a car.

We contract the teams to provide a brief press release before and after every event. Team managers will be given access to post news to the site themselves. Simple process so don't worry!

    Pre-Season:
We are aiming for a late January 2016 start.

So we will have a Pre-Seaon. We use the 2012 update 0.590 as it has similar characteristics to the new mod, tyre and braking wise anyhow. It will allow us to ramp up some ontrack action while we wait for the new mod.

    Event Format:
Events should take the form of two races. One shorter sprint and one longer race. Enduros should be a 2 hour event.

Qualifying should run one session to set the top ten. Top ten shootout then takes place. Race 2 should be reverse grid from race 1 results.

Pole will get points. Fastest lap will get points.

Points system will follow the real V8Supercars points with points to the last classified finisher.

    TV:
We will endeavour to broadcast all of the Aussie/Kiwi series on twitch with commentary.

We need to provide the same for the Euro series. We need volunteers from NZ or Aus to do this, it will be a Saturday morning your time. So please let us know if you are up for it, we really need your help on this one!

    Sportsman Championship:
We recognise that not everyone is an alien and will be fighting for wins. We will introduce a Sportsman class (or whatever we name it) championship. Drivers who have not been on the podium in the previous season V8's will be eligible for this. In effect there will be two championships.

New driver will be evaluated in pre season by our previous champion and the top three in this years series as to whether they will be eligible or not.

    Manufacturers Championship:
    We are only going to offer the following franchises;
    3 Holden Teams
    3 Ford Teams
    2 Volvo Teams
    2 Nissan Teams
    2 Mercedes Teams
These teams will be allocated on a first come from the current teams and then first come for new teams.

Only the top 4 cars from each manufacturer will score points for the manufacturers championship.

Feel free to ask any questions or advice below. This will be further fleshed out as we get around to it.

Safe to say, this should be one of the premier sim racing series. Lets all club together and make it special.

Jump on over to www.racing-leagues.com and sign up to the forum. We are at the final round of our 2015 season next week. So will be doing some pre- season races before 2016 starts. And also in the meantime we have lots of other events going on too. Like Thunder Down Under ( isi chev camaro) on Friday nights, v8 Utes every second Saturday night, and RF1 races on a Sunday night. All more than welcome.
