Old version after Steam upgrade

Hi guys, I did upgrade my lifetime license, on the Steam version.

At this point Steam is downloading and installing a new copy of the game, I wonder, the old installation (no more usable) I can uninstall through the installer?

 

I would also like to know this.

And also, when I redeem the Steam key for my current account, can I continue using the non-Steam version? I want to use it for mods as I currently am, and then use the Steam version only for all default content.

No you can't.

 

I uninstalled after moving to Steam, and have not noticed anything wrong. Made a backup of the folder just in case, and to be able to transfer skins and setups to the new Steam folder.
