I created this account solely to post this.

I'm on a Toshiba Satellite C850 running windows 8, which has allowed me to run the Internet Explorer app that has evaded the take over.

I was running the rFactor 2 demo when I decided to enter the car setup menu. It was taking to long to load so I pressed ctrl-alt-delete. When task manager came up the rFactor 2 cursor was in every window and I could not just simply right click on the rFactor 2 icon and click close. It would not budge. It had occupied my computer.

Can anyone help me? Do I have to restart my computer?

If the Taskmanager window is active, can you navigate in it with the cursor-keys?
If yes, mark the rFactor2.exe entry and hit delete.
If nothing helps i would say "yes" make a restart.

Check you nVidia drives. Had the same issue. Roll back to ones from Windows update. Don't install the news one yet
