Will ISI be hosting a number of race servers to cover the steam launch?

    Fantastic news however! Congrats

ahahahah... funny, but not fair. Durge helps many rookies in his server.
This version you see on forum is his 12 years old nephew on crack

I know, was just a bit of tongue in cheek. No-ones questioning his efforts.

Be fun to see how he holds up with an influx of ex-Grid players hitting his servers and asking why there's no grip. :D

Im thinking in open a server teaching rookies what to say to make durge go wild:
    - jesus, these graphics sucks!
    - wow, its look like im driving on ice. Rf2 sucks!
    - omg, stop talking while im driving! You are not helping
    - dont get me wrong, but f3 are for old farts. Too easy
    - i saw you driving and i think you are cheating
    - *any game* is much better. Way more realistic (and better graphics)

    :D

My biggest concern is if it will be mandatory to stick to the latest released build. The steam software I already own always autoupdates.

In our league we have been reticent to jump to new builds before they showed to be stable. Some builds were never used by us for this reason.

Fortunately, in the recent builds it hasn't happened and no showstoppers have appeared.

I also wonder what happens in the moment of an update. Are all the old build servers dropped down? It could happen immediately before or during a scheduled race creating problems.

Besides these worries I think it is a good move by ISI that will bring more people to rF2. That means more money for ISI and more people online (leagues and casual).

rF2 has reached a very mature point of development and I think it has been wise from ISI to hold it until now.

I've always wondered this and it's never been answered. A big complaint here is no one plays rF2 and another one is that cheating is a problem. How can nobody play rF2 but yet, cheating be a problem? Is it possible that one person mentioned cheating on these forums even though he had never seen any and got a bunch of people in a panic about it?

Who will make this rule mandatory? The government?

I don't think so. rF2 have mature players who don't see the point of cheating. Maybe with the potentially younger audience of steam it will be a necessity (to include VAC). :/ Wait and see.

It is that way for other steam software (Pcars, AC, RTB) AS I SAID. I dont know of it is something coming from a steam policy or up to the software company.
