Hi all Just wondering if there is anything that can be done about bad aiw's in track mods. I have the Brands Hatch track which includes both the indy and gp circuits, the indy track has a great AIW and makes for some great racing with the AI but the GP layout has one of the worst AIW's i think i have ever seen. The AI's slow down to a crawl for most of the corners and they break in places where you wouldn't be expecting them to break. And to top it all their lap times at 5 to 8 seconds slower with the AI strength maxed out. I have tried the AI learning but that has not improved them at all, so is there anything that can be done to improve the single player racing when there is a bad AIW? Regards Ian
Sure you can! Learn doing AIW´s! http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/25641-HOW-TO-Fixing-common-AI-problems-with-rFactor-2-Tracks http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/25630-Fastest-AIW-line-not-so-fast Should be enough info to begin.....
You just need to create an update of the track to play offline. It shouldn't be a problem to join a server with the original track. You can also send the updated file to the author who will probably thank you and use it when he next updates the track. Peterchen has done that for us several times. Thanks Peter! I would like to make more and with some things I´m not satisfied (like The Shojo. Was quickly made and is not really quick ) But it´s indeed time consuming and there are sooooooooooo many tracks with bad AIW,- don´t know what to do first sometimes..... And there is this private problem that often leads to extreme low motivation for doing anything......
That's what I meant when suggesting to contact the author. Enviado desde mi SM-G130HN mediante Tapatalk
