This might seem like a silly question, but I do know how to start from the back of the grid. :p My problem is that I want to choose the grid lineup. This is easy done by excluding the qualifying session and running the warmup only. In warmup we can add the AI, and the order you add them is the order of the grid. This is simple, but the problem is is that I am always automatically in the session. This means when I add the AI they start behind me, while I remain on pole position. I don't want to be in the race, let alone on pole position.

I would be very surprised if there isn't some simple way to decide the starting grid without yourself the player interfering. I want to watch a pure AI race but I want to decide the grid. Any idea's? Thanks.

Try: Race/ Session Settings/ Grid Position. Pick the number of cars you have in the race, e.g. 35 AI and you, pick 36. Once the race starts, hit ESC and Exit to Monitor to watch the race.

I tried that. I have 24 AI, so I picked grid position 25, but didn't change anything.

Maybe enable quali session and just skip to next session?

Make sure you dont have random grid set, do qually session and skip you should be at the back. You can only exit back out once the green light has started the race

    Make a passworded server

Add ai, skip to warmup and you can set grid how you want.

    Race or watch.

In single player, you just have to wait for the green lights before exiting.

Then DON'T use single player !

I don't get you people I give you perfect solution

Set dedicated server, pick grid order including your own, leave yourself out, do what you want !

No need to pause anything , esc. anything. !

Gee relax mate, I didn't know. One of the main points of this forum is to ask questions, and those who don't know and are not as 'smart' as you will ask these questions. How was I to know? The biggest way to learn is to ask people who do know. I don't understand your urge to make that last comment, I got your first comment and thank you it works, very helpful. Your second aggressive comment isn't relevant at all and just makes you sound like your having a tantrum. I don't understand some people on this forum as it feels if you ask a question you get your head ripped off.

    Thanks anyway, your solution works.

    Sorry :(

    Thank You Robo

I just get stern because maybe offliners do not realize this and probably thought there is " another dumb DD idea" , ......disregard. lol

Online should run as well as offline maybe even better for some.

You don't need ports because no one but you joins.

You get to see your room up on Matchmaker !! lol p ( even if no one can join ) ;)

    Better starting a race.
