Hi guys / isi. Is there any way to get flying sparks when the cars touch the ground? I noticed some lines in the player file but currently there are no sparks. So will we get some or is there ANY way to implement them (like in rf1)? Cheers, Nitro View attachment 17306
Not available. We have asked for this for a while. As it is there is no absolute way to know when bottoming out from within cockpit or in replays. Maybe some day. Sometimes when spinning out on short banked curve, I pretend it was probably a bottoming out issue.
EA F1-2002 Turbo mod, even those basic sparks added immersion. If I guessed I would say they will be added, I would not expect to a huge lot of dynamics going on though. I resting my faith in ISI can move to a new sim and up the candy, would not take a whole lot more to usurp AC2 or pCars2.
Sparks don't need to be dynamic. If plank brushes the ground at X speed, sparks. Otherwise, no. Also you'd probably be looking to 2020 for AC2, pC2... no idea and don't care .
Sparks would be a great add. Doing an F1 1992 championship, this is really missing for the immersion, not a priority of course (weather update is far important), but this would be great...
Which is weird because I remember there being a couple 'spark mods' for rF1 that were pretty killer and looked great. I guess it's taken me this long to realize rF2 didn't have sparks lol.
I don't see any work going on with immersion...They improve physics that's right, but no real changes to the immersion, which rF2 really lacks. No sparks, no real rain, no dirty tires, no dirty cars also...
Maybe Studio 397 could take a look at it now. I guess it's not very hard to get it in rf2. Cheers Gesendet von meinem HUAWEI VNS-L31 mit Tapatalk
Hi. Sorry for digging out this thread again. But I think now with dx11, sparks could be included easily. Rf1 had it and Rf2 would profit of flying sparks, too. Pls give it a chance @Marcel Offermans
Yeah, with nowadays F1, makes no sense having an F1 mod without sparks... Well, it doesn't make sense with historic mods either, one of the missing features long ago IMO...
just a 'be careful what you wish for..' back in my days of modding GTR2, we saw this spark feature and it could be very cool. But due to the vagaries of understanding when sparks started or were generated, it was very common to see sparks out IN FRONT of the car when watching replays or taking screen shots. Just one more thing that could add to delays in car production. I do think, after all that pessimism, that flying sparks viewed in VR would just be awesome. I wonder how long it takes for actual race drivers to learn to ignore such spectacles?
