Hello Guys. Just updated to 982 build and MultiView option isn´t working. If you selecte MV the screen turns into Black. Without MV works fine. Waiting for comments. Thanks.
Same things. I set dimensions in config.ini. But when I start rFactor 2, settings are reset to initial. http://pastebin.com/8xDLyd4u Video card is GTX 980, driver version 352.86 Windows 8.1
Hello, So it's very simple, you have to open your config.ini file and you change this line: Subviews = 2 UseSubViewParams = 1 ViewParams = (0.640000, 0.390000, 0.730000, 45.000000, 0.030000) \\ screen width (m), screen height (m), eye distance (m), side angle (deg), gap bezel (m) First two numbers are the size of your screen in meters, third is the distance from your eyeline / head to the center monitor panel, fourth is the angle in degrees of lateral monitors and latest number is the monitor bezel size, still in meters. So, in the default set of values, you-have a set with 54x34cm triple screen monitors, the distance entre les eyeline / head is 60cm and monitors, monitor angle is 15 ° and plastic bezel are 3.7cm per side. Enjoy!
This sounds like really good news! Does the param "Subviews" support more than 2? Lets say I want to generate a 300 degree view from my driving position by using a total of five screens(only skipping the screen right behind me)? Can I set the "Subviews = 4" and it will work as expected? And just a question what angle I should measure. Is it the "viewing" angle? - Ie the angle I turn my head(from the centre position) to be able to look straight towards the side screen? In my setup(using three screens generating a FoV of 180degrees) the angle would be 60 degrees.
Hi! Had the same problem, but when I changed in "config" and started the sim my screen is still black. A look in "config"-file shows that is has changed back to default again, am i missing something? //Erik
The comment is wrong formatted so I changed it to: // screen width (m), screen height (m), eye distance (m), side angle (deg), gap bezel (m) ie front slashes instead of backslashes. That might interfere with params and make the config invalid. But it gets overwritten with default values anyway so I tried to remove the comment all together but it still gets overwritten. Anyone else experience this?
Still blackscreen in MW, worked fine when I first updated but when I enabled FXAA the screen turned black when on track. Disabled FXAA but still screens are black. Tried all of the above but nothing helps. :-(( Erik Skickat från min iPad med Tapatalk
Me too, i did everything step by step, but the (driver)view is like "looking to the sky". If not that, it's black screen. After setting the config.ini, the multiview worked correctly ones for me. After that it's not working any more. Any ideas???
There seams to be a "glitch" when setting video options from Video Settings. ViewParams are written with _local_ decimal separator, instead of period, which the game assumes (as it looks like). Ensure there is a period when entering these values... Mine reads SubViews=2 UseSubViewParams=1 ViewParams=(0.598000, 0.336000, 0.760000, 46.000000, 0.041000) \\ screen width (m), screen height (m), eye distance (m), side angle (deg), bezel gap (m)
Thanks for finding that - I could not get the black screen thing to happen until I changed language in Windows and saw this formatting problem cause the black screens.
Finally! My multiview works!!!!!!!! mine reads now when working: SubViews=2 UseSubViewParams=1 ViewParams=(0.535000, 0.300000, 0.640000, 50.000000, 0.040000) \\ screen width (m), screen height (m), eye distance (m), side angle (deg), bezel gap (m) WidescreenUI=1 WidescreenUIWidth=5760 The problem was that I had to type: WidescreenUIWidth=5760 in to the config-file, before I did that in launcher under "video settings" and that did not work for me. Thanks to "Zaphman"!!!!!!
Another option is to set: UseSubViewParams=0 Which means you go back to the old way of setting up multiview (and all you need to do is set the vertical FOV).
