if there us anyone intrested i need someone with the skill and exerience to make clay pigeon kart circuit in the uk by the 10th of july!! this is needed for a charity event where i will be using rfactor on a kart simulator at the track to raise money for cancer research uk i have no money but am hoping that someone would be willing to help me out on making this track for this event i can supply photos and knowledge of the track and possible even gps data i can also supply some model of buildings toward the creation of the track thanks every one PM me if interested
I like the idea, but not even three weeks for making a scratch build circuit is not really realistic I'm afraid.
hi. i was thinking of using btb as a base and doing a simple version. i would like the track in rf2 as it my local
Sorry to burst your bubble, but GPS-data is pretty much useless unfortunately - simply too inaccurate for elevations and aerial shots (such as Google Maps) will be good enough for top-view layout.
i said i may be able to get gps which i havent been able to get!! if someone can look at a vid of clay pigeon raceway and make a basic layout then i can import it into 3ds max add the small details then send it back to be out into game!! i would like to did this project anyway even if i cant be done in the time scale because it will be usefull for the same even next year and any others at this track
ohh ok thanks anyway that awesome!! if you looks at a vid could you try and do a basic elivation thingy

its actually not to far off the part i have draw in red is down hill where the blue line is shows the level that down hill part drops too (so in the 3d model where the blue line is is the level it is equal to on the down hill part) the yellow line is showing that the level is the same from the end of the down hill part to the blue line also the track is 815 meters long and can you make it 1.5 meters wider please
also on the part of the track shaded red there i a camber!! the inside of the bend if lower than the outer it slowly merges in and out after looking at it the track is the correct width
ohh yeah can you also put a basic barrier around the track please live the real track has then ill do the rest thanks so much for helping me out
Ask the track blueprint to the place's administrators, there's just two ways to put correct elevations on any track: a) Perform an as-built topographical survey (lidar, total station, whatever) b) To have the access to the project plan-views with elevation curves and marks. Aside those methods I assure you'll have a sort of messed topography.
thanks for the sugestions!! as i need to get something done for next week im ok with what we have for now!! i know the people at the track so for the future i will be asking them!! at the moment im trying to get objects and stuff onto the 3d model to then get it to a realistic level
