For the non facebook users, we made à Quick update before LM on our page : "It has been a while since team last communication about the Endurance Series mod rF2 progress. The graphic part of the mod build 1.0 has been ended. The physics and sounds part are still in process. It is talking more time that what we were expecting, and we want to provide you a quality job at the first release. We were hoping a release before LM24, it has not been possible. We do our best to make the first release as soon as it is fully ready. Stay tuned for possible exiting news soon !"
A race Toyota will remember. That's for sure. It's hard but that's racing. Will the car liveries have a used look with rubber and dirt on the carbody? That would suit them really good I guess. Gesendet von meinem GT-I9301I mit Tapatalk
Yeah it would be really cool if the cars looked weathered. With dirt and and stuff on them like Nitrometh said. It adds more Character to the car rather than a pristine livery.
As an example here: is the 2015 Hulkenberg/Tandy/Bamber 919 in a museum with the un touched from when it crossed the finish line. Maybe as an option in the upgrades menu? So people who don't want this can still have a clean car. I understand you are all very busy with important physics updates and stuff this is just a small question
Maybe it would be nice if the carpaint shader receives input for a dirt map which get applied as the race progresses
We let you build the shader/plugin/dunowhatyoucallit and when it's ready you can count on us to use it . At the moment a static dirt does not add much (why a car starting a race would have to be already dirty ? You can see it on both sides), and dynamic dirt isn't simulated (realistically) by the game.
The car paint shader already has a "damage" layer that could be used for this purpose. But it's unused...
It's not for this purpose, it's for damage, and yes it's not working .. So need to ISI to make it working and in the same time add the dirt layer in this shader and activate it.
Hi. Do you plan to include more recent GTE cars like Ford GT and Ferrari 488 ? And also thermic LMP1 like Rebellion and ByKolles ?
Not for the moment. We need more ressources (3D Modelers) for that (the new GTE cars), and we don't have them. Thermic LMP1 don't have a big interest, let's be honest. Just look at LM 2016 final result.
Ok thanks for your answer. I was thinking about this thermic LMP1 because I saw somewhere that LMP1-H were difficult due to the hybrid system. Is it still the case or can we expect to see LMP1-H in the future ?
