Hi, it's time to show to you my latest work: Buenos Aires 1979. It is not a simple conversion but reworked track and others gmt files for rF2 rules. CREDITS: smogbike who made an original version for GPL ken motorfx who made version for rFactor1 and with his permission now i've converted the track for rFactor2 Implemented real road with a new 3D model of track with more poly. Added decal for white line. Water now is animated. New vegetation. New building texture. Animated Pit Girl and some other things. Software Used: Max with mj-multimedia tools. Download http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/24867-Buenosaires79-converted-from-rF1?p=360778&viewfull=1#post360778 Thanks! Some screen:
Really cool, Another track from this fantastic Package... Just a question about new track poly... I used to have 8 polys for width on zolder79 and Dijon79. It seems that your got only 6... is it enought for realroad ???
Thanks to all @Arnao if I understood correctly it depends on the width of the track. The Buenos Aires track is 11.5 meters wide. I've read in the rFactor 2 - TRACK TECHNOLOGY this: "Detail texture maps for stages 2 and 5 can be Most Likely borrowed from one of the tracks stock. These work best with tight tiling values, around 2.0mx 2.0m. then 12/2 = 6.
Oh Ok, I'm still a completly noob with this modding things(and 3Dmax). I was thinking that more polys will have better "real" contact for cars and better vertex alpha blending for real road. My last kart track project, anneville-ambourville, have 8 polys width too but it's only 7meters witdth. I was thinking that 8 was the norms. Anyway I'm really happy that another track from GP79 track package is made. Thanks a lot. cheers arnao
Whoa - quick track that looks almost ready to escape into 2015. Thanks for your efforts, Rik. Obviously lots of love for this mod & track. Bravo.
hey boys, good work! Rik, if you want, i can do new 3d objects... slowly, you know, I have another project, but I can contribute with something
Thanks ! Grazie Pablo @Mauricio i know, i love your project, thanks for your offer. Now I'm changing all trees. It is very simple, just a little bit boring but more beautiful to see.
