The first thing that got me was the cornering performance.

It's one of those fabled "just one more lap" vehicles. It is utterly superb.

I assume he means that you need to black out some scenes as NSFW. Because that is pure sim porn ;)

A bit shorter and to the point. The current video has us all drooling with every slow motion detail. But a more general audience probably needs a 90 second or so version that picks the best highlights and moments. The only qualitative thing I would add is that unfortunately we don't have a top-notch hill climb track to showcase, so certain shots "hide" the rudimentary nature of the track and others lay it bare. Same actually for other tracks. I would prefer that only tracks that are as graphically well done as the car itself be highlighted in the video. Otherwise it's one of those cringing moments when we all say "sorry this is rF2. It's really great, even though it looks so bad." There are enough awesome tracks available that we shouldn't have to do that in a promo video except for hillclimb...which as I mentioned can be "hidden" with the right angles and clips.

LOL, you could re-word what I just said above into porn terms, but I won't.

These cars are a blast to drive.:D Hill climb is a monster but will fit well with the faster tracks while the track-day car fits perfectly with the tight twisting circuits. Good FFB and overall feeling of the cars.
The team has done an excellent job on these.

Would be cool to see a couple of specific hill climb or Lienz-like tracks to fit a car like this.

Probably the best solution would be to make an entirely new 90sec video. Unfortunately, I'm pretty useless at hillclimb tracks and therefore only have few of them installed. Pikes, Transfagarasian and Koscioko (or whatever it is called, why do they need to have such awful names anyway? Nobody can pronounce those names.) That Koioscio is probably not a hillclimb track anyway.

If someone is really good at hillclimb maybe they can make a cool video or send me the replay files and I'll see what I can do. Anyone?

Ah, that sounds like an idea! There will be no AI cars if I'm to take the footage myself. My machine is from the stone ages. ;)

congratulations to the whole team on a great job! i'm very happy with how the mod turned out and it's a very accurate representation of the real car. the physics works, 3D is excellent, the skins look great, and so does the video. bravo!

ok, it's time to give you some more info: Juergen is repainting 3 of his beautiful skins due to the copyright and licenses we cannot have, but he will replace them with other beautiful skins! Then we have updated a little bit some coefficients to the newest ISI rules and standards. I really think now we can stop, otherwise we'll never stop to develop a model when rF2 is still in development!

For this reason I would like to remind some special advice for the incoming model, so that everybody can enjoy the different classes. I kindly ask for your patience in reading all that, but you will benefit of these advice.

    1. the mod comes with 3 different classes: Custom, Hillclimb, Trackday
    2. the Custom class is mainly due to the several options that potential owners of the real-world car can test in advance, but my suggestion, in case, is that the Custom class can be used in game choosing the TurboI option, to have a car like the Trackday, that is perfect for traditional circuits, but with a more performing engine
    3. the Trackday and Trackday Multiplayer are the ideal classes for the traditional circuits and I strongly suggest to use them: the perfect balance between performances and stability without excessive power, that give the opportunity to appreciate any single behavior of the car, tires, etc. A must!
    4. the Hillclimb, a monster! So powerful, so stable at the same time considering the extreme power, but that doesn't give you a breath, time for thinking... to appreciate any single behavior you need to be a very skilled simdriver... test it but do not discharge to drive the Trackday. In addition the Hillclimb, like the name recalls, is born to be driven on open circuits like Pikes Peak...

Now I'd like to remember how tires work: tires were built mainly by ISI and with data by Hoosier and Palatov, I only tuned them for adapting to the light weight of the D4 and for simrace purposes for the Trackday Multiplayer class.
The differences between the set of the 3 compounds for the multiplayer are only in the wear.
Remember!! Tires give great performances and are so fast in response to really give you the feel to drive a real car! Finally we have a car that reacts like a real one, also for the physic of the car itself, BUT you need at first to become confident with the car and then to warm tires up!
A couple of laps to have a better grip! And you will also notice that tires last a lot in their performances!! I mean, after the first step in decreasing grip, after 10-15 minutes, you will notice that, notwithstanding tire's wear, the performance can increase and tires will last at a great level to their end: fantastic behavior! And this feature is much more noticeable using the Racing Slick compound.
Also under strong rain and standing water surfaces, the wet tires give you a driving safety you never had before and put you at peace with driving under the rain in rFactor2!

    Latest advice:
    1. never release all throttle when you break entering a turn, the more the surface is slimy or with strange slopes, the more you need throttle
    2. following rule 1 you can enter turns also continuing braking with a great advantage
    3. using the Hillclimb (AWD) or the Custom with the AWD option, you can force point 2 much more

    That's all, thank you.
