Do you want to see records for all AI drivers or just for AI. If for all, then your record pages will be flooded with AI names from every session. Alternatively I can make all AI times go under the same name - "AI", idea looks better to me like that. So you`ll have one AI record per car-track combo, not multiple AI records.

All this will involve a lot of work, so I can not promise I`ll manage to do it. But I see its possible.

UPD. OK, scratch that last comment. I added this option just now, wasn`t super hard.

Maybe just show the name of the AI driver who has the fastest lap out of all of them?

Anyway, glad it wasn't too hard to do. Thanks for taking the suggestion on board :)

Updated to v2.039. New features. Please report if you spot any bugs.

    r2la v2.039
    r2la DEDI v2.039

    Changelog:
-r2la now supports multiple extra paths to read xml files from. Useful if you have multiple rFactor2 installs. Go to the "Options" page to add/remove extra paths.
-Added miles near km at track records page and compare logs page
-Sessions that belong to one weekend (same timestamp in xml RaceResults block) now marked. Top (parent) session is marked with "+", its child sessions are marked with "-" and have indent in "session type" column.
-Added checkbox to select all logs for this weekend (when using "select multiple")
    -Optimized selection of multiple logs
-Added "Use class pts for overall team standings" option for championships. Useful if you have same teams in different classes and want combined team standings.
-Added "Show AI records" option to non-DEDI version. If turned "ON", AI record times will be visible at records page.

How or where does one add the Dedi server IP address ?

Great tool but I can only run it locally because I do not know how or where to change the IP addresses of the fixed values in the menu below.

    Local (IPv4) (127.0.0.1)
    Local (IPv6) :):1)
    Public (0.0.0.0)

I run the dedi version but cannot add the Dedi Server IP address anywhere.
    Any advice ?
Is there a help file to be found anywhere ?
Still, we are always amazed about how much race info can be recovered after the race.
    Great program.

There should have been one more option in web2py widget with your public IP, like "Public (xx.xx.xx.xx)". I don`t know why it is not there...

You can try selecting Public (0.0.0.0) - that must host r2la publicly. And then give other people your IP address to connect. You can determine your IP address by opening google.com and typing "ip address" in search field. If you use routers or other different network configurations your public IP can be not straight forward to find. I`m not specialist in that. You can try different web articles/tutorials for that.

I`ve done Steam Guide for rFactor2 Log Analyzer if you have not seen it before. But it has no info on this specific case.

This is developing into something really useful. I noted that you can quite easily run a championship series if you set one up. But I was thinking that a lot of people miss the career mode from rF1. With Log Analyser as it is now, it appears it might be possible to extend it to include a career mode.
    Or am I simply dreaming?

rF2 as it stands now is pretty awesome but still it seems incomplete without career or championship modes.

Anyway some of my thoughts. If it's nonsense or simply not possible . . . So be it. :(

    Regards

I`m thinking about some kind of career mode myself. Not sure how to implement it so far. Maybe with time... You can throw some ideas on what features of career you want to see.

Thanks for the quick answer Nibo !
    Merry Christmas :)
I will try this tonight and give the clients my IP address (whatismyip.com) and report back.

Is there anyway I can have this open on my main pc but have the analyzer running on my android tablet? I don't want to have to keep tabbing out of the game to check.

If you have wifi router, you can use DEDI version (or regular version and host through rF2 Log Analyzer ver. 2.039\web2py\web2py.exe). Host it on Public IP and access that IP from your tablet. For example, for me it works on http://192.168.1.2:8000/

marmagas, do you mean about how to access r2la from tablet on home wifi network? You can try to do this with this steps:
    1. Run web2py\web2py.exe from r2la DEDI or non-DEDI version. Server setup screen will show-up.
    2. Select "Public" server IP. (for my router its address like http://192.168.1.x)
    3. Press start server. Try to access http://192.168.1.x:8000 in your tablets browser.

Woodee, not necessarily. You`ll loose your Hotlap competitions if you didn`t save them before. But other options (importantly championships) must be present in r2la_settings.json file in "rF2 Log Analyzer DEDI ver. 2.039" directory. So what you can do is.
    1. Copy r2la_settings.json file to some other location just to be safe.
    2. Go to r2la2\rF2 Log Analyzer DEDI ver. 2.039\web2py\applications\r2ladedi\databases directory and remove all files there.
    3. Start r2la DEDI, it will be like first start. Submit start form. And immediately go to the Options page and press Import track associations and championships.

No, log files are created by rF2 only when you exit the session.

About the championship option, I need a little clarification about consistent driver names,

I had watched that video about modifying VEH files and creating rcd Files, but that video was a bit confusing for me. So...

    1. Do I need to configure 1 driver inside VEH file and the others drivers have to be deleted, so that there is only the one and only driver inside the file?
    2. However, is it possible to use a rcd file for that purpose - so that I get an consitent driver name via rcd's files?

    Best regards,
    rio

I have no experience with editing veh files. For me the best way to have consistent drivers right now is to load session without AI and then load AIs with particular names with "Add AI" button. If I create some new AI drivers in main menu (through rcd files), they can be added like this also. With some mods, like Indycar, if I set number of AI equal to number of available cars in mod minus 1 (my car), then I always get the same drivers, so that an even easier option.

There is already some support. From update 2.034 "Driver swaps are now shown in "Session laps" table and swapped drivers names appear in "Session results" tables after main driver name.". I think I can not do much more. What else do you want to see?
