Have a great race experience? Share it here See next post with my example... Results are NOT required. Main goal is to enjoy each others' experiences, share great combos, whatever. If you DO want to share detailed results, here is template you can use to copy/paste and fill in data for convenience: Car @ Track Race time = Grid position = Result = Best lap time = Session best lap time = Total race time = AI = number @ strength xxx% / aggression xxx% Real Road preset = Real Road time scale = Damage = xxx% Time of day =
Skip Barber National @ Gotham Hills Race time = 10 min Grid position = 30 Result = 22 Best lap time = 131.4979 Session best lap time = 130.1937 Total race time = 690.949 AI = 29 @ strength 105% / aggression 25% Real road preset = Green Real road time scale = 15x Damage = 30% Time of day = 3pm (looks pretty good at 3pm) This is my second run so I expect to improve significantly and will update this post with latest result...
Did you start the race with a green track? Great idea btw. Edit: yeeeeah, what a cool race! Skip Barber National @ Gotham Hills Race time = 10 min Grid position = 30 Result = 7 Best lap time = 128.5171 Session best lap time = 128.5171 Total race time = 665.992 (hmm the big difference must be down to me running AI limiter = 0, right?) AI = 29 @ strength 105% / aggression 25% Real Road preset = green Real Road time scale = 15x Damage = 30% Time of day = 3pm My first run and very satisfied with it. I will go again in a bit. Also I have a race you you to try out... Will post soon.
Doesn`t have Details at the moment, but a great (Endurance) Experience for me: Track: Sao Paulo Cars: Renault Megane, Honda BTCC and Renault Clio Total 29 Cars. It was a great Race, 1 Hour, ended in P4. Some really nice Overtakes, together with other AI Megane`s, side by side I guess Strength was 112%, where the Laptimes are very close to the Megane AI. I did with each car class an AI calibration before.
Very satisfied with my second attempt... Skip Barber National @ Gotham Hills Race time = 10 min Grid position = 30 Result = 1 Best lap time = 127.5279 Session best lap time = 127.5279 Total race time = 660.212 AI = 29 @ strength 105% / aggression 25% Real Road preset = green Real Road time scale = 15x Damage = 30% Time of day = 3pm
Wouldn't it be cool if we tried to stick to some sort of format of posting the results? I mean like PSR did in his second post here. Maybe add the following to the first first post? Then people can copy-paste that and fill in the data. Car @ Track Race time = Grid position = Result = Best lap time = Session best lap time = Total race time = AI = number @ strength xxx% / aggression xxx% Real Road preset = Real Road time scale = Damage = xxx% Time of day = I upload my race results at Simmunity and choose "session summary" to get a nice view of the session I just completed.
May be, in my case I find this info irrelevant. But that is my view, and I understand that your's can be different. I can delete my post if you wish so. (Done to please DD who had a bad night...) Cheers.
@Hexagramme, I added aggression and real road preset to my Gotham post above... Edit - I also added the template to the OP Edit #2 - Nice job, Hex
Sounds fun. I am going to have to try this. I haven't done any endurance races offline but have always wanted to but just never gotten around to it so this is a nice reminder. I'll let you know how it goes...
I didn't mean anything of the sorts mate, just a kind suggestion. Makes it easier to compare how we've done races under similar circumstances. Too cool for school heh heh. Good stuff.
Sorry, don't remember my exact times and positions for last races i've done. Been doing a couple of Lemans races that i really enjoyed. The last one was with the Howston G6 1967. I raced with time instead of laps. 1hour and 36 minutes race, with time scale x15 (making it a virtual 24hrs race) Used 3x fuel rate also, did 3 stops but could've managed with 2 maybe. Started 20th of 33. Was so much fun Finished 9th. Next up will be with GT cars, using lots of cars. Maybe 50-60 or so. Starting midfield somewhere with 10x time scale and a 2hour 24min race (to make it 24hrs). 2 or 3times fuel rate. (Don't forget to assign a button for headlights...lol)
All going according to plan until the first sector of last lap when.....Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...............whew saved it Skip Barber National @ Gotham Hills Race time = 10 min Grid position = 30 Result = 11 (prior attempt was 22) Best lap time = 131.3333 Session best lap time = 130.4836 Total race time = 685.397 AI = 29 @ strength 105% / aggression 25% Real road preset = Green Real road time scale = 15x Damage = 30% Time of day = 3pm

Failures = Off Flags = Full w/o DQ --------------- *** 5x Fuel really makes the difference, slows them down heaps and more of a challenge. 1x Fuel/Tyres they ( and I ) would have lapped at 4:15-4:16 from Lap 1. *** [Turning of Mech. Failure all cars finished and no damage or accidents. No good cars dropping out having "realistic" failures in a 8 lap race, to what end. ? Bugs: Ai speed in pits. Ai slow on main straight for cars in the pits. Ai take 2 pit stops when you can make it with 1. 2nd Pit Stop for Ai, Lap 7 splash and dash and all 4 tyres. Almost blew it, braking for pits got car sideways. 2 just got past me and I had to chase hard last lap. Caught them going up the hill, grabbed 2nd before Blanchimont and Leader at La Source. Got rear ended by 3rd place in the process, only just saved it, won by .2 with 3rd another .2 back. lol Besides the few bugs mentioned could not ask for a much better offline Race.
Wow, what a nice race...but from the beginning. During Qualify i was the first 4 Laps 1-2 tenth off from P1, in Lap 5 i really did 0 mistakes and got P1 The start was ok, could keep P1, P2 was for 5-6 Laps allways in Touch, Gap between 3 and 9 tenth around. After the first Pitstop i realised, that the AI`s doesn`t change their tires on each stop. Therefore i changed my Pitstrategy and changed my tires on each second Pitstop. After the third Pitstop i was able, to make a bit gap against P2, because of some lucky overtakes in the traffic. Seems, P2 got some Problems while overtaking slower class cars. In the middle of the Race i realised, that i could finish with 5 or 6 Pitstops, instead of 7, if i`m doing a little bit short shifting. I finished on P1 with 0.2 l fuel Interesting point was, some Honda BTCC`s could finish on e.g. P4, because they need just 2 Pitstops. Amazing race.
