This feature is worth to try, for RF2 or any game. It has a minimal performance drop. I use 2.25x and RF2 looks a lot better. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology View attachment 15942 Stock View attachment 15943 DSR View attachment 15944 Stock View attachment 15945 DSR View attachment 15946
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology Check out this link. I'm using a 970 and did very nice job with the small details in the games I play. Im using a 60 inch tv went up to 3840 X 2160 or something close to that. much nicer than the 1980 x 1020. Small details in the fences and thin shadows. Took a lot of the flickering away. I went up to 4.00x and lost some frames but still played very smooth.
It is in nvidia settings. Basically it allows to put higher resolutions like 4k then it downscale to the resolution you want, talking gross, suposse you have a 45 degree stick rendered in screen, it make them bigger then it downscale so you loss the jagged edges. This is the only computer tip i really recommend to try.
Please straighten me out on something if you can? From what I understand (and I hope I am wrong) if I enable DSR, in game I get new choices for resolution. When I check the next higher resolution, it does work, but on my widescreen TV , I don't end up with a correct ratio aspect, (nor do I with any other higher resolution). If that is right, then maybe DSR doesn't work correctly TV with HDMI hook up, only on normal monitor. So to me, it never reduces aspect ration back down to fit my screen. I play with it occasionally, but never with worthwhile results, I just end up with less on the screen.
Not in mine. Is this for new generation gpus? edit: nevermind - "Our new Maxwell architecture introduces a raft of innovative, exciting technologies that make your games better in dramatic ways. Of these new features, Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR)..."
Old News Yes yours DRS was "released" to work with Maxwell.............don't mean it won't work. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/supported-gpus
Grand Theft Auto V should look good in DRS http://media.rockstargames.com/rockstargames/img/global/news/upload/pcmichael_full.jpg http://greengamers.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/gta-5-vinewood-pc-4k.jpg Just need a couple Maxwells >>>>>>> lol
Sorry don't remember the resolutions I had chosen. Not running newer driver version right now. Went back to 377.88 and they don't offer DSR. Was really just confused if I really had to choose a higher resolution in game for DSR to work. Actually I'm pretty sure it was operating due to the fact that sims only offer me these higher resolution when DSR is enabled. And my tv monitor wont normally run at any resolution other than 1360X678 ( different res. give no output) if DSR isn't enabled. The problem is, whether a flight sim or rF2, when I go to the higher resolutions offered by DSR, its not reduced back down to fit my screen. So I figured that it just doesn't work right for my LG wide screen tv.
I have a single 760 and the DSR works for me. DD answered, if your GPU is listed here and you have at least the 344.48 WHQL driver installed if your GPU it´s not Maxwell-based.
I don't understand why you can't enable DSR or why the settings are not showing, I have a 680 ti boost and with correct drivers, it always showed up. My machine seems to like the older drivers tho. Maybe someday I will come across one that will not cause occasional momentary black screens.
I search for updates in my nvidia control panel now and I´m up to date, my driver is 347.25 And you can see the setting in the panel (blue setting, in spanish) I run out of ideas, sorry
I´m having problems with my GPU:http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...-screens-and-reachin-99º-(but-not-throttling) Maybe this is the cause (bad driver unistall/install) Will try to turn off/unplug side monitors, disable nvidia surrond and completle uninstall drivers at default tv config
