I don't know who is responsible for the Daytona Road Course conversion (& latest upgrade), but I wonder if they're aware a big upgrade could be realized using aerial Lidar data. There's a point cloud available at http://www.coast.noaa.gov/dataviewer/#. Volusia 2006 survey.

 

I downloaded Daytona from the Facebook site, thank you very much for it.

Great news regarding Lidar data, if someone would be up to help me on textures I could engage me on it.

 

Add my thanks for the Daytona link. Very nice conversion of the rFactor track with off the chart frame rates! Can't wait to try Road America!
