    Hey Jka,

I think the (never accurate) "posting time" depends on the ISI server it's posted to (Michigan or France?).

Since it was about 30 degrees Celcius outside yesterday, I'm pretty sure I wasn't in Michigan. [3 time zones on our mainland.]

Still interested to see how your cheerful compatriot does this weekend with the new push-rod front suspension.

    Release the KRaiken !

Hermann Tilke would love that test track.

    Hahaha.
I was going to say that we have to hide this to Tilke.
    Impressive work Bink.

Yea... thanks guys.. and you're right... a very tedious test track.

The track was designed to test the range of corners that this one process needs to solve.... variable radius corners from about 100 - 500 degrees.... in either direction.

Thankfully, my code will learn to drive it, so I'll never have to.

    About Tilke tracks:

Unfortunately, like all of us, Herr Tilke gets whatever Bernie gives him. In the case of track building, he usually gets an undersized, flat bit of land as a starting point. With those restrictions, it's a bit unrealistic to expect anyone could build a Spa, Nordschleife, Watkins Glen, or Monaco.

    Epic tracks require interesting topography.

    So true, Bink.

For example Bahrain is very interesting and challenging track to drive, though its build middle of the desert. Another good example is Istanbul, which is very undervalued racing venue.

Shanghai is build middle of the swamp, although they got some elevations and interesting layout sections there.

Herr Tilke actually squeeses pretty much everything out from the land, which is given to him. His team is very creative and professional. Problem is that its very, very hard to design epic race tracks to modern F1 cars with very strict FIA restrictions and safety measures.

Sorry for off topic, Bink... ;)

From Wikipedia: ".... Tilke established Tilke Engineering in 1984 ... to provide complete solutions for motor racing and waste disposal projects."

Perhaps we could hire him do something about Bernie.

I think that we're going to need several Tilkes for this project. :D

Nahh, no reason to attack. They put in the slow parts of the tracks for safety but it's fun to make jokes about Tilke tracks.

    Hi Butters,

Wow... Looks weird around here. ( lunch-blowing emoji )

    Possible thought process:
"I bet we can really do something for the atmosphere on this forum if we change to a more bile or vomit-like color scheme".
"Say, that's worst idea I've ever heard... When can you get started?"

    [ Not saying... just sayin'...]

On aiw~thing: .. yep... still in the salt mines... Took some time off in April, but back at it again. ... ..screen shots soon.

Added some new variables to the "Learn" process lately that make a bunch of stuff much easier, and more scalable. I'd write about it, but it'd take several pages, would be boring to almost everyone, and I want to get back to working on this new sequence recognition ... thing.

But... you know ... in general ... more, better, faster.
