One thing they should try to sort out is the Anti aliasing, you are pretty much forced to use Super Sampling outside of the game. I thing this is the same thing for all the ISI engine based games. My opinion on graphics is that the car could receive a poly bump, but I' m pretty much satisfied with the current state. The lightning could be better, Gran turismo for example looks great only because they have a great lightning on that game.

    Yeah, Shadows and Anti-Aliasing...

Polys is a matter of mod, some mods have very nice detailed cars.

Priorities for the track team are tracks development (new tracks or old tracks revamp) but we are all connected, so when something in the lighting is going to be changed or improved we need to work with the GFX guy (because it affect contents) and then everything needs to be implemented and tested.. At this stage, it's not something you can do alone bypassing everything else. :)

BTW, get your trackteam a servo wheel so you can get the little annoying things ironed out from the tracks.
Limerockpark works great, silverstone not so good, sao paulo is the worst ever..

I don't agree. For me, Sao paulo is great, silverstone is great, limerockpark is superbe

If you ask me to choose between AC, Pcars, R3E and rF2, I would say I prefer rF2's graphics. Why? Simple is Better! I prefer a clear and straightforward presentation. Eye candy staff in other so called 'sims' only give me a 'GAME' feeling rather than a 'SIM' feeling.

Just compare P3D v2 or FSX with HAWX 2 or Ace Combat, you will understand what I mean.

    P3D V2:

rF2's HDR, colour and car reflections are the things I like most.

ISI could do more to improve the shadows and road reflection. (The current road reflection just make road surface looks like a huge mirrow, which is bad)

As all ISI track surfaces are using the SAME technology, the SAME structure, the SAME design...Occam's razor suggest the problem is your "servo wheel" and settings you're using.

This video shows what a small change of lighting (custom HDR profile) could do to rF2 graphics perception. The track is nowhere near quality of recent ISI tracks, textures are quite average, but still response is very positive in comment section. If this was filmed with default HDR, it would already have received the usual complaints.

Uh... video in your link actually has worse sense of speed and shows onboard only for a couple of seconds. This Nismo video has among best immersion and speed I have seen from any rF2 vid

Textures and track tech is still miles away from recent ISI tracks regardless of color palette. Longford uses old X-shaped trees for example, makes shadows cast in wrong way, ISI tracks use billboard trees. Then again no modded track can match ISI tracks in textures, not even Nordschleife, so not saying it's a bad effort.

I do not need anymore then 2 seconds to tell that.

Check the video at 1:30 ........see the total blurring of tress ?

    Also at other places.

omg it looks terrible hideous ! Sorry it is the truth ?

Woochoos has nothing like that how dare you compare them

You are entitled to a opinion.

imo Longford is a better looking track and a heap better looking then that sad excuse of a video shows.

Stone, not to be argumentative but those trees are mentioned at the bottom if the changelog on the to do list. The rest of the trees you'll see are stunning, as is the texture work.

I don't agree. Woochoo's trees for Longford look way better than everything else I have seen so far. This includes the Nordschleife trees, which have lost a lot of details because of pleclair's photoshop experiments.
Billboard trees are a nice feature, but they have some issues (receive no shadows, glow like a candle during sunset) which makes a well made x-shape tree the better option atm.
The only thing that's wrong with Longford is the automated hdr profile. The light sources (direct and ambient) are way to strong and you see a lot of colors clipping at the borders of the rgb spectrum. The tonemapper tries to compensate that and as a result you loose all fine details in the textures.

The automated hdr profile, as it is now, is a absolute no go. The worst thing about this is that it leads modders in the wrong direction in terms of colors and material settings.

My goodness that made me laugh.
    It wouldnt happen here though!
    Surely not.

    Troll checklist:
    Situation (recommended actions)

    1) Is he wrong? (tell him)
    2) Was it once wrong (talk about the past)
    3) Will it ever be wrong (talk about the future)
    4) Are there any circumstances where he could be wrong (relate those circumstances)
    5) Are his priorities different to yours (tell him his priorities are wrong)
    6) Is he correct but you dont like it (hurl general personal abuse)
    7) Have you had to "correct " him before (add "Yet Again" few times)
    8) Do you agree 100% (look for another post, agreeing is lame and for fanboys)
