You guys beat me with this post... An explanation where this idea comes from.... Racedepartment Formula Renault 3.5 season approaches its climax with 90 minute finale on the 21th December. CLICK HERE Martin O'Brundle our chief Formula Renault reporter and one time winner of the Halfords Staff Christmas Go Karting Throphy has followed the drivers in the paddock and made some sometimes funny to read articles with indepth analysis of the races. CLICK HERE A lot of readers might have been thinking: What is the Halfords Staff Christmas Go Karting Throphy??? Halfords Staff Christmas Go Karting Throphy: - 6 Christmas-paper wrapped Go-Karts and a "black-sheep" (the pink one is chosen by my 4year old little girl ) - KZ1 specs - 175kg - 6 speed gearbox with ratio's from a Vortex RVXX engine - +/- 45 bhp - a wide range off end-ratio's for little short tracks or the Nordshleife... First of all thanks to ISI for the Go-Karts!!! And thanks Martin O'Brundle for the idea. Merry Christmas and a happy 2015 download the Halfords Staff Christmas Go Karting Throphy
Very nice work. These karts are so much fun, and with more tracks arriving it's fantastic timing. Thanks a million
Can I update these with the new tyre models and tweaks from the new ISI karts and put it online? I'll give you all the credits ofcourse!
Looks like someone already did. v1.1 is now available through launcher. I sure hope it has updated features.
Jip, it does. I've applied the gearbox into the new the physics with new tire model. (Big thanx to ISI !!!) The shifter karts v1.0 made rF2 crash sometimes when new builds were released. But i haven't seen it yet with this version v1.1 in this build 946. Fingers crossed, I hope it's solved. Have fun.
Thanks for updating!!! These are a great addition while we await ISI doing the whole range of karts they promised.
Looks awesome. Please consider a larger steering lock than possible reality as a tuning option. The ISI karts are realistic, but many controllers have difficulty dealing with the FFB compressed into such a small range. If you just give it a bit more breathing room, it's fine. Not an issue other than the annoying steering lock UI doesn't work per car, so you have to keep going back and forth between "vehicle set" and a custom setting. Just a suggestion to help more people enjoy what looks like a fun creation.
