Very excited, thank you guys for working on this. The tires are looking a bit blocky, any chance of them being remodeled with more polys?

Mike Peters has been helping us a little with the mod this week and he shared a nice screenshot with me today.

The release of this mod for Stock Car Extreme has me excited and anxious for:
    1) This to be released for rF2
    2) Possibly better track conversions made for rF2

Just imagining the more detailed force feedback and reduction of the "cartoony" looks makes it a real treat. The rest will be bonus.

Just today I've tried CART Extreme for GSC and I was quite amazed with the feel of it. Wasn't quite amazed with tracks like Long Beach and Portland, but I've took Carts on a race at Interlagos with a pack of 16 others and it was really impressive. Feels really great.

Would definitely vote for those to be in RF2 too.

Only certain tracks will be matching or somewhat matching the quality. Try:

    Guaporé
    Interlagos GP
    Jacarepaguá (Oval, Stock Car)
    Johannesburg Historic (Kyalami)
    Londrina Short
    Salvador
    Spielberg GP

I feel a bit of difference with the tires, especially the front - as in better with GSC.

Can you contact ISI for assistance? I read here about the ISI physics guru assisting two mods.

Well we have been waiting for their assistance for quite some time now. Finally this past month we decided to at least try another route as they seem to be too busy with the game to help us with this mod. I guess its a good thing they are devoting their time to the game.

We need freaking tracks. Well made tracks. These beauties will need places to roam.

Exactly ! There is only one big problem: a lack of good reference material to model the tracks historically accurate.
I want to model especially road and street courses, but what I found are just poor VHS quality videos.
If anyone have some photos, track surveys or videos in DVD quality please let me know.

If a track has changed in layout (or a road course changed pavement and possibly lost bumps or camber) and there isn't much reference then you're screwed for proper help, but otherwise nothing wrong with modelling with current reference and adjusting sponsors though that's quite nitpicky.
