Sorry to hear about the sales.. I'm going to buy your track tonight! (I'm also tired of poor conversions)
That's really sad to hear ai, I think it's a bloody great wee circuit, absolute hoot with the smaller vehicles. All you can say is that it looks like a faithful recreation of the circuit for a pretty cheap price. If people don't want it, they're losing out IMO. It's also a good indication of the quality you can put into your work, textures, etc. How would it fare with the shifter karts that were released, I wonder?
oulton has a lot of name recognition that gingerman doesnt. i just got gingerman today, actually bc i thought id seen it had been updated (lookswise, not nec. fault of the author, it didnt do much for me) which i dont think is the case. still a very modest price & no regrets from me. hope to see oulton sooner rather than later
I disagree with your disagreement disagreeing with his disagreement disagreeing that payware content benefits the entire community.
BTW James, have you seen that Google Earth Pro is free now? Maybe this software could be of help to you. I don't know much about it, but it seems that it can provide very accurate measurements of building, along with many other cool features.
I've actually been using pro for quite a while now, the building stuff doesn't really come into play except for notable places and race tracks typically aren't on that list specially smaller ones. It does however allow saving of images of very high resolution, importing gps data, and some other features that do come in handy.
Work is continuing on Oulton but its a little on back burner right now while I plug away on the update to gingerman a bit as well as work to try to bring in some more income so I can stay above water as they say. Still contemplating the actual name I will give it since it will be unlicensed, right now going with Budworth Park since its actually located in Little Budworth, but saying Little Budworth Park sounds a bit words so I dropped the little.
