Around what time did radio communication become commonplace on racing? I love how GTR2 had physical message chalk boards. Is it possible to do that in rF2?

    Turn the water into lava!

(fwiw I would go realistic, a dnf is a dnf, doesn't matter what objects cause it, we just gotta me more careful)

LOL... I'm old enough I had to google that track. Uh, no, it's not Rainbow Road.

NASCAR tinkered with radio in the late '50s, I think, but it didn't become ubiquitous until the mid-70s.

I think chalk boards, ala GTL, would be a HUD replacement.

    Authentic.
There is something truly special driving those old roads that the sport was forged on.

That is fair enough, benefits would be insignificant in tech sense and actually more realistic :)

Would love a 60's 66 HyperSim with Smiths gauges

and yes the old boards actually held out in pitlane.

For instance in real life at Belgium the timer stood with toes right on the yellow line.

How many of them would be killed in our online races ? lol :)

Like I said in my Sim 1960 cars in menu would have no OSDs or a disabled pit limit button or nothing else unrealistic.

Example: Like for pitstops, no pit request in 60s and you would pit then say what you need not have it have it pre-set .

I see a lot of videos of people using low FOV and they use the rear view button to look.

I admit it is my one cheat too even with a decnt FOV that i can see mirrors lol
I rather not use it, can't help myself, so I rather if it was not available in menu so I can't be swayed.

Since virtually SCGT we been doing things the same.

I really think it would be interesting a separate pro version with a whole new learning curve.

BTW those virtual mirrors would have to go as well. hehehe

It is not about saying better drivers drive Pro version or trying to get rid of rookies.

It is about redefining the drive.

I think if historic barriers were designed to stop a speeding race car, then the Grand Prix movie would have had a different ending.

So you're saying Sim-racing isn't real enough for you?

If only there was some way to do racing in real life or something...
