New build is out and the spotter volume has been fixed. After you launch the game for the first time, turn the spotter volume down... way down. I just about pooped myself in my race seat the first time the spotter called out a lap time. I'm not joking either. I've had it cranked to max because the voice has been so quiet in the past.

I wonder why it's so difficult to get the loudness of it similar to the other sounds in game since they went from way too quiet to way too loud.
It's a classic response to criticism from engineers/tech-head types. 99.9% of the people on here have been whinging and complaining that the spotter was too quiet since day 1. Address issue by ensuring that no one--not a single person--will ever complain again that it is too quiet. Make it the correct volume? If that was a priority, it would have been done correctly the first time around. It's not that difficult to adjust a recording level volume...or even re-record the clips if the originals were so poor quality that they couldn't be boosted.
It's a great improvement, but I wonder is this related to upcoming oval content. Anyone know if there are other audio files for oval spotting? I know this was discussed waaaay back and wonder if the timing isnt a coincidence.
I drive Historics wots a spotter ??? hehehe I tell you one thing seriously some 3 screens users should get off there narrow FOV highorse and "actually watch" for cars besides them. But to use a spotter in Historics that is just unrealistic and pussy.
Enthusiastic loud redneck accent... yup, it's gotta be for the upcoming oval content. Perhaps oval car engine volume will be equally loud? At least this ISI puts the individual volume controls within our hands and we can adjust them to our liking.
So this raises another question: where is the option to set the spotter on and off by car class instead of a universal setting that you have to remember to go in and change every time you switch racing types?
