This tool did wonders for me: http://coderbag.com/programming-c/cpu-core-parking-manager Its a bit complicated how i got to this. I had decent frame rates with my ati 7850 and AMD fx6100 but when i bought Guild wars 2 i had like 8 fps on max and 20 on lowest. So after searching i found out my GPU was running in PCIEx1 mode instead of PCIEx16 mode due to bad placing in motherboard. When i placed it well my gpu was working in PCIEx16 mode but was getting very loud , overheating and crashing eventually. I thought it was broken. Until i found this CoreParkingManager. Set it from min CPU speed 5% to 100% and suddenly my card stopped overheating and i have much better framerates in all games. I have min 60 fps on nordschleife on max settings with no fps jumps like previously. Everything is super fluid. If you have amd CPU its worth a try. For me it is awesome! Ps. Im not sure but i think it works for intel too...
Very interesting I have an AMD fx8350, on win7, I will give this a whirl when I get home. Thanks for tip! Cheers, Justin Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
