I've found some nice, free programs that can do some uvw unwrapping and some that do mesh repair and optimization.

My Google Drive assets have shrunk because one user on the Assetto Corsa forum disliked that his assets were going to be used for sims other than Assetto Corsa.

It's shameful that the AC modder doesn't want his stuff used for rF2 modding. Maybe he's scared about what rF2 is capable of

I don't really have the time for those people... it doesn't matter to me what sim this stuff makes it in, the modding pipelines are getting more similar over time it makes no sense to separate.

Here's a cool new "software" that I imagine modders here will really enjoy. I haven't tried it yet, myself (I just found out about it 2 minutes ago It's not "cheap" (read: free) but it seems to easily be worth it from the amount of time that it will save.

Blender is free and open source. Blender can UV Map, join and split objects (3DS export from 3DSimEd), increase mesh density, among other things.
