Hello! I'm working on a track and wonder if there people working 4WD cars and if it's possible to make it work on rF2. I try to change a parameter (i don't remember the file sorry) from "REAR" to "FOUR" but nothing change...
Hi benmttf, To answer your question, what you want to set is Wheeldrive=FOUR and add parameters for adjustability, typically after the diffpreload setting: RearSplitRange=(0.70, 0.05, 6) // Torque split to the rear, defaults to 25% RearSplitSpecial=(0,"","RWD","") RearSplitSetting=0 // 50:50 if these entries aren't here. Pump4WDEffect=( 1.0, 1.0, 1.0) // Effect of various diff settings on Power4WDEffect=( 1.0, 0.0, 1.0) // the center diff, then the front diff, Coast4WDEffect=( 1.0, 1.0, 1.0) // and then the rear diff. Sorry, no Preload4WDEffect=(1.0, 1.0, 1.0) // separate settings for each diff. Seems to be some carry-over from rfactor1/g-motor2 and it does work quite well. I've noticed however during testing that the front tires on any AWD car will tend to overheat and wear quickly - also anything torque balanced to much over 30% front will have increasing understeer. It may be just from the tire compounds or suspension/load transfer settings, but I'm still working that out for now. In any case, those are the params, the rest is fine tuning. Good luck + happy modding!
Awesome! Glad I could help out - feel free to ask anything else also! I mostly do testing and setups, fun just getting the cars to work better.
Ok thanks! Actually i'm working on this and i'm converting (for my personnal use only!!!) the megane. Thanks to you i have added the 4wd and with this post that i have to read but also need to have 550 hp!!! and dirt tire!!! How can i do this easaly? I just want to have an idea of the feeling.
