The formula E thread & it's coming to rfactor 2 ....(possibly)

I personally dont support/like formula E ideia but inevitably future will push motorracing in that direction. Some day we will be watching slot cars racing at Le Mans....

I like street races & hoping the London one will be good -I intend to go

it could be coming to rf2, I'm interested in electric car energy advances also

of course if it's dire I'll only give it so long but hope this is not the case

first race starting in just under 1 hour, Beijing (real world)

 

Wow, huge crash at last corner on last lap. Heidfeld is lucky to be alive and apparently also unharmed. Dived from quite far but also Prost made odd move causing them to collide. Will be interesting to see whether there will be penalties. Wouldn't be surprised if both receive penalties.

 

Bit of a spoiler alert for those who haven't watched the race.



Heidfeld was lucky to survive that...
Close to hitting head first into the fencing.

One of the worst moves I've seen in a long time.
A race ban wouldn't be too harsh of a penalty for Prost.

 

I just saw a video of that crash, my goodness that was nasty. Heidfeld was extremely lucky to come out of that.

 

The fact that Prost doesn't even go to Heidfeld while he's still in the car to check if he's okay... It's beyond me.

I know drivers are probably instructed to leave the track immediately after an incident, but still... Come on!
Have a heart. Prost just sent an opponent flying nearly head first into a barrier because of his own carelessness.
At least check he's still alive...

 

I enjoyed it, it's just the first one I'm pretty sure it will get better too

that car flew up in the air as if it weighed very little

 

Just watched the race . well first 10 laps at least and now I know how it is for hearing impaired folks to watch F1 without the racing. Start sounded like 10 .'One Direction 'fans .. underwhelming

 

And to make matters even worse, apperently they drive on the same car in WEC..... But even before I did read that, I was speechless that he didn't go there, or didn't even tried to get a thumbs up, or something.....

Prost at first didn't agree he did something wrong, but after he saw the video he came to the conclusion that is was indeed his mistake. What really is beyond me about the move, is that he really dives to the left, without even looking if someone is there. This has got to be some of the worst racing "skill" I have ever seen.

 

According to Prost he didn't see Heidfeld. I believe him, because no matter what, his race would end there and then, due to a move like that.
It'd be pointless to crash into him on purpose.

The fact that he failed to check his left side before throwing the car over there... Reckless.

I'm pretty stoked about this new series. Should provide some good entertainment I'm sure.

 

when he checked right (with his head) & saw that right was clear he must have decided that Heid was behind him
so why move to the left when he needed to move right for the sharp left hand turn he was approaching

the track was very tight -as if it had been setup for a few exciting looking incidents


can't wait to see the London circuit plan

 

I also like this series very much because it's so different compared to others with it's electric cars and famous places. Lots of top level drivers fighting against each others with cars built on technology of future road cars. What more can I ask for at this point in time?

 

They will be never finish a mod. lol

 

Meh, I want screaming engines and flames.
