    Hi guys, I haven't run rFactor2 for a while and now but when i play now i get huge frame drops by about half. from ~117 to ~69. When i'm in a field of cars (~19 cars) the frames will drop and the sound will continue at 100% but everything else will slow down. If there is any AI around me they smash me to pieces. It looks like they are skipping forwards and i get left behind. I've tried turning the settings down (or as low as i'm willing to go) but it still happens. At the moment it is unplayable.

    My PC Specs are;
    Windows 7 64 bit (rFactor 2 64 bit)
    Intel i5 2.93ghz
    Nvidia gtx 760 4gb
    16 ddr3
    2tb HD
    Logitech G27
    Samsung 46" TV (capable of 1920 x 1080)HDMI

    I know my processor is poo but i'd still expect rFactor 2 to run sort of sweet. I just want it to be stable enough to play.
    Settings I'm currently on;

    Thanks in advance for your help

    Could be anything!
    Progs running in the background?
    First playing 2 other games and the trying Rf2? DonĀ“t work- restart
    System messed up? How old is it?
    When did you tried it before? (build, circumstances)

    Hmmm, that's odd considering his settings are set low enough.

    Wi-fi or wired network connection?

    Have you logged GPU temperature to see if there is overheating/throttling happening?

    Hi guys sorry for taking ages to reply (new baby). I tend to use about 19 AI and it does it mostly around the AI cars. I use only ISI content but a mix of a few cars. God forbid there would a safety car. I am playing only offline at the moment because my subscription has run out but I do get the feeling that it wouldn't happen if I was playing online.

    I don't know how to do all that technical stuff checking temps/throttling and stuff maybe a link to video or something would help please?

    Background program's could be a problem, do you think I'd benefit much from one of them program's that shut all that off when a game is on?

    I get the same problem with beamng drive too.

    GPU is 2 months old and the rest of the system is nearly 4 years old. This is my first pc so I'm learning all the time. I had this problem a few builds ago with my old GPU.

    Mh, I meant the operating system (windows).
    Is this the first installation from about 4 years?
