hi' everybody' I don't know if you remember the problem I had with black or white screen... I finally solved it! I run the latest built 798 with no issue for those who are interested by the solving stuff, it was a stupid question of, which drive is it installed on.... since, I installed it on the C:/ Drive, everything in the same folder, everything runs fine. that's pretty funny as all other build where installed on a different drive... but, anyway, back on track
Cool. Anyway, sound weird it was the reason. My rF2 is installed in a D:\Games\rFactor2 folder (including core and data) from day one and never had such problem so far... So something weird with your drive other than C:? In any case ,glad it work for you now! Welcome back on track!
Hi Tiger, I am glad you solved your issue. I just would like to comment that using a different thread from the one where you explained the problem and with such a confusing thread title in this latest thread is not the best way so that others can benefit from it. I understand that you didn't realize and was not done on purpose.
770 had a bug when running full screen windowed mode where it would show an all black window. This was solved in 798. I think it was in the build notes too. So I'm not sure if it was your install method that fixed your black screen or simply the full screen windowed mode bug that was fixed in 798.
well, I don't know either, but this new install works. I'll try to make another install on the drive I used before, and I'll tell you I remember that I tried both full screen and windowed with no luck...
I had problems until I allowed rf2 to install on the default C drive without me changing locations etc
for me it gave something wrong as instructions for the rFactor.name file, inside was all wrong... and now, it's still al wrong but goes through.... why? I still have to discover it...
