Today with the G27 pedals i tried the Brake sensitivity set to 10% for the FIA F2 Car on the old Monaco circuit(all driving aids set to OFF) and it was quite good now.I think that in rFactor2 the Brake sensitivity of 100% is made for professional Simulator Braking pedals which have much more Maximum Braking strength.Last year i practiced with a 90Kg Maximum pressure Brake pedal on the Professional Racing Simulator at Simforce-motorsports in Berlin. There You need power to make a lock-brakes.
its a problem most ppl dont realize if you are struggling with your braking and lock ups or acceleration and wheel spin this is the GO drop your sensitivity...
I make the settings in a Way That the behaviour of the Car is Most similar to the Pro Simulator i used.
The Simforce SDA3,which is used also for Professional Race Car Driver training(Simforce Driving Academy).
In my opinion, the FIA F2 Car and the Marussia F1 Car in rFactor2 are somewhat more difficult to drive than the Formula Cars in Assetto Corsa. If You are able to drive the Monte Carlo, the Monza and the Spa circuit constantly well with these Cars, then i think You are good enough for driving also well in a Pro Simulator after a few laps familiarizing with the Pro rig. That at least was my experience.
You are right.I tested the Marussia F1 and the FIA Formula 2 Car at Monza with 50% brake sensitivity on the G27 pedals and it still was possible to drive seriously. With 100% brake sensitivity with the G27 pedals braking is much more difficult than in a Pro Simulator and this cannot be,because for drivers, who never had been driving these cars in reality,a Pro Simulator is the reference, because its braking pedal is much nearer to the reality than the G27 brake pedal.
I don't know about the pro simulators you speak about, but the maximum brake torque in Marussia F1 is on a realistic level. According to what I have heard, ISI were surprised by how much brake torque Marussia 2012 can provide. This maximum brake torque is almost never used, perhaps on circuits like Monza you get close to it. But realistically speaking, a value around 75% is probably good to start with.
your 'mind' will interpret and maybe even perceive the distance as pressure as op is finding out,the 'distance' needed for the F2 car is not same as say BT20 to brake the same I liked my G27 pedals but am now on a load cell. I was always rear ending people at 1st but getting used to it now
Hmm, can't see that anywhere on their website. 1/2 off new memberships, but no free trial. Perhaps only US?
I agree to op, i turn down all my cars to about 80-85% pressure especially the f2 Having read this i may even try lower.
