    absolutely amazing. Using the Virtual Desktop, set it to curve screen, enlarged to 250% and with the PlugIn from Vitorrio, my favorite Nordschleife experience now

    So does that mean the too-sharp bumps problem here is a difficult fix? Or is it a global setting or change that can be "copied and pasted" to all areas that use that texture?

    I think the main problem is that bumps in real life are irregular, but it would be like painting a room with a toothpick to do the entire Ring as unique surface. So we are short-cutting by applying a bump pattern to a whole area. If we have to do that, the "pattern" needs to be very sophisticated and preferably include some randomization so it doesn't feel like a wallpaper repeating pattern. And the bumps themselves need to be nuanced, not a simple shape and repeating sequence. Of course this is true for grass and pavement textures, too, and we see how bad many tracks look with overly simplified and repeating patterns of those textures.

    The new cam's are frikking brilliant as well, don't even need video editing skills to make something amazing here I reckon :))

    The problem is I can't test this myself and it looks like every type of wheel feels different. If you have three guys with the same wheel they all have different opinions what feels right.
    On the other hand we a have nice list of surface materials for this track. You need to assign a tdf setting to each of these materials. Sometimes I can only guess what material is used at a specific location.
    The simplest solution would be to dumb everything down to the default settings but then the track looses a lot of "character". What we need is a list of tdf settings for different types of road surfaces which work good for all kinds of wheels. That's what wgeuze is trying to do.

    I could quickly change the values in the tdf file and upload a small update but it seems the update system is broken in rF2 and the updated tdf file is not used. The same happens if you have two or more versions of the same track installed. Version 1.80 loads the hdr profiles and the cam file from version 1.70. :confused:

    I understand, but in this case it appears that Fanatec, TM and Logi owners are all reporting "rattling." So in this one case, at least temporarily, throw something less severe onto that one surface. It should work with either no filtering or the same filtering that is OK for the bumpiest ISI tracks.

    Releasing a 1.81 isn't a big deal if it can be done quickly. Not that many will have had a chance to download yet.

    I try to create a "unofficial" test version of the track with new tdf settings and pm the track to interested "hell drivers". I believe now is a good time to reach the masses and have a wide spectrum of different hardware and opinions. :D

    i just went in and ran about 6 laps in a urd maures t5 with a fanatec csw and i am getting none of the issues with road surface or f.f.. i am using simvibe running in both chassis and extension modes. i will say that i am forcing 32 bit in rf2 due to a current bug with rf2 and simvibe, but other then that it is amazing all around. 06:53:78 with a car that is topping out at only 163mph.

    Me too have a strange ffb in this version. First I thought it was my wheel and as you can see in the video I have some driving errors, because of this ffb bug!
    Second thing that I don't like really is the trees colors, 'too much green for my tastes! however great work and thanks.
