Confirmed it isn't working on our dedi server either. Hopefully a simple, fast, pathing change to the plugin files will do it. Contacting LR support.

LR is working fine on our 798 server.

Plugins folder goes into Bin64 folder, the other 5 files just goes into the main installation directory NOT the Bin64 or Bin32 as per all previous builds.

I'm having the same issue as the OP..same error.

RJames, did you use the Auto Update or did you use a Fresh Install for B798?

Auto update (was a clean 700 install), however missed out the previous LR builds when 64bit was enabled.

So fresh download of the LR files version 1.4.0.0.

Ahhh..we did a Fresh install for B798, it looks like since a lot of files were moved in Build 798 Liveracers can't find the Config File now as guod suggested.

    Thx again..

I ran a test, I reinstalled B770 and got LiveRacers working again, I AutoUpdated to B798 on that install then added the Plugins to the Bin 64 folder and it is back working. Thx for the info RJ, at least we have a work around until LR gets updated.

    Still doesn't work.
Then after this line some other errors. But the plugin's inability to find the config file is the problem. I installed the new plugin like it said to. I'm sure a fix will come in time

I have LR working in 798....thanks to another thread about plugins.
I'm using v1.4.0.0 of LR Copy the Plugins folder & the 3 loose files into the rf2 root directory as before.
Then copy the LR Plugins folder to the Bin32 or Bin64 depending on which your server is using (works in both)

I couldn't get LR working with Stevo's update

Hope it works for you too!

Theres an error in the last liveracers LiveRacers-rf2_1.4.0.1
XML-file must be in the folder:
    /Plugins
    Not in the folder
    /

So this are the correct paths for LiveRacers-rf2_1.4.0.1
    /Bin32/Plugins --> liveracers.dll
    /Bin32/ all the msv´s dll.
    /Plugins --> XML

I think that Plugins folder doesn't exist in a clean install of the latest build so this is still a workaround. :) Thanks for the solution though!

I hope the plugin author updates the plugin to put the XML file somewhere other than <Core>\Plugins. Because having three plugin folders is going to get confusing for people. Personally all plugins should store their settings in the UserData\Player folder.

This works for me as well, thanks !

I did not have <core>/Plugins directory, I had to create.
Since that officially no longer needed (because of the bin32 and bin64 dirs) it is still a bit confusing I think...

So in summary, this is how my structure looks like:

    <core>/bin32/Plugins/LiveRacers-rf2.dll
    <core>/bin32/*.dll
    <core>/Plugins/LiveRacers.xml

    Thanks,
    Mitya

    Hi Guys,

sorry for the inconvenience, we accidentally packaged old dlls with the new package. This have been fixed now, you can download the corrected package from the same location

    http://liveracers.com/Support/Downloads/Plugin/rFactor2

Note that after downloading the fixed plugin, you need to have the LiveRacers.xml in the rFactor root folder.

Let me know if you have any more problems,
    Stevo
