    Ok this should be fixed in the next update which I really hope is next week. In the mean time, you can attemt to delete your
    C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\.rFactor folder and reactivate to see if that helps. I have increased you activation count by five.

    Ah, I have a similar setup. Just reinstalled the core over everything to fix it.

    Did as you requested. Still doesn't work. When I click on "Launch rFactor.exe" I get the error reported above immediately. Doesn't load anything else. Just instantly to the error.

    Installed build 218, worked fine update available, downloaded installed 798 same error.

    0xc000007b = STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT

    This tells me something is not right on your system or you are not getting a clean download some how. Do you have the latest runtime installed? Are you installing to default locations or something custom?

    Tried installing in default folder. Tried installing in custom folder. Tried installing on a different drive. Re-installed .net 451. Nothing works. Worked fine before build 660 but not after.

    You are getting a windows error. Your system is telling me it thinks the launcher is not designed to run on windows. Or to put it another way; the PE information in the launcher is not correct. If that was true, the launcher in build 798 shipped with a bad PE file. Therefore, given the launcher shipped with a bad PE, it would not work on ANY windows OS installation. I am not getting those types of reports. What I have is one person reporting this STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT error. This would lead me to believe there is problem with your current OS.

    Please install these manually do see if any error are reported.

    Please try running the launcher directly from /Launcher/Launch rFactor.exe.

    The re-installation of VSU 4\vcredist x86 solved the problem. Should have been smart enough to remember I had just updated VS2012 around the same time.
    Thanks a bunch.

    I've just downloaded the files from that link and they have the same checksum as the ones supplied in the rF2 installers. I'm glad it's working now and all that but the 'solution' is something that gets done every time you install rF2.
