is there a step by step , to get 64bit working, I just leave the instal and race,.....would like to go to 64bit to see the difference cheers
1. Got to the install folder i.e."C:\rFactor2\Core" rename the the following files (Make sure YOU keep a copy of all the original 4 files before attempt this..) rFactor2 64bit.exe rFactor2 Dedicated 64bit.exe or rFactor2 32bit.exe rFactor2 Dedicated 32bit.exe to rFactor2.exe rFactor2 Dedicated.exe Hope it helps.
If the bigger file size exe is named rFactor2.exe then its 64bit . you only need to rename the dedicated exe's if you plan to run a 64bit server. You probly won't notice any diff at all unless you wan to run a big heap of AI on Nords without the game showing a memory error
I don't think there is an obvious indicator. Two indirect ways though: 1) When you're running 64-bit most if not all of your plugins won't work. That's the fast way for me to tell. No FanaLEDs? 64-bit. 2) Another way is to click the Video Res tab in Settings. If your system info is messed up, you're running 64-bit (the interface for querying that data doesn't work with 64-bit yet)
yes, noticed that HUD plugin doesnt work frame rate has gone from 290-310 frames to 400-450 now,,,, whooo
LOL that's a big jump . I didn't get any changes in Vid Res, it was the same as before but i'm guessing INTEL might have to check his settings with that jump in FPS unless the HUD was causing a drop. EDIT: I did seem to get a drop in FPS initially until I dropped all settings 1 notch , then checked in game , then returned them all to max and my FPS were back to normal ?
think running the hud has caused a loss in framrate, getting around silverstone, and 15x AI, 160-180 frames at 2860x1610 200hz screen resolution, I was only getting about 80-100 with HUD and 32 bit
For anyone interested I created this batch menu... that allows you to switch between the two... use at your own risk View attachment 13490 Copy to your core folder... remove the ".txt" from the end of the file name.. Once in the core create a shortcut by right clicking on the batch file and clicking "Send to" -> "Desktop (create shortcut)"
Plugins have to be updated by creator... @ Intel48 : check Windows Task Manager, if 32bit is running you will see a "*32" after the name of process
