Just updated my dedi to 770, now I cannot select any of my old PLR files. Any ideas? View attachment 13392
It will use JSON files instead of PLR. So that's the first part answered..... yeah, I don't know how best to make it convert to JSON either
Now it seems to create a "Player" file for me. If I rename that file in any way, it creates another file named "player" even if the JSON file (The old PLR) matches the file name. Can we only run one dedi?
Yep, same problem here.. Can't run multiple servers now unless I do separate installs which I'd rather pass on..
Yes, i have the same problem. Cant run multiple servers. Maybe the option +profile <profilename> doesnt work anymore (broken).
Still nothing and it doesn't seem 772 approaches the issue, either. Which is a shame EDIT: unless I interpret the notes incorrectly, of course.
Tried it with 772 and it's still broken. Tim knows and I expect by now the guys in the coding team know.
Has anyone else also come across the issue that using +profile "player" always causes the player json to revert back to default settings? Using any kind of custom json file in conjunction with Liveracers causes the dedicated to crash (64 bit) after 14 seconds also. With the default json, it functions as intended. I don't know where the problem is there......
+profile works, you don't 'see' it as in the OP's post, however it does select a different profile using the +profile. We have 6 servers up all different profiles
Just tested on my server. If I re-name the json file (the old PLR one) it just reverts it to default settings on every startup of the dedicated server exe?
Can you clarify this for me please? I'm afraid I'm playing catch-up, was working all week and found out this morning that someone updated our server to 770 and now our multi-profiles are not running. I was aware of the player.ini>JSON change in 770 and was worried about this. Now I'm scrambling a bit to get the server straightened out for our regular weekend event schedule. We normally run 6 discreet profiles too.
Yes, recently we accidently updated to 770 and we are getting this as well, all items in dedicated window reset to default. no matter if a same profile has been run multiple times or shut down/restarted.
Same issue here. It doesn't take renamed json profile into account !!! It seems that you can have multi profiles/multiservers but it seems to be always names "player". I gave up waiting for an answer from ISI.
Yes, the problem is that the game instead of looking for "UserData/player2/player2.json" it looks to "UserData/player2/player.json" and then it use the name of the file as key identifier instead of the name of the directory (so even if you have several entry in the dedicated UI combobox, all are named "player" and +profile "player2" will not work). View attachment 13594 It is a regression and ISI know about the issue. Hope they could fix it for the next public build.
Thanks... In the meantime no multiinstance anymore!!! ISI : it's the second time you broke multi instance!
