Made these two cars for my Games art course at uni. Here is the dev blog if you are interested... http://benxl3d.blogspot.co.uk/ Feel free to play around with the physics files if you want Have fun! https://mega.co.nz/#!dhIwWAAZ!DRd8M_9Rtj3oqWwae2a3DDDSq9lpjvrOV0Q3hBD-DrI Pics View attachment 13380 View attachment 13381 View attachment 13382 View attachment 13383 View attachment 13384 View attachment 13385 View attachment 13386 View attachment 13387 View attachment 13388 Modifications made by Ricklandia. https://mega.co.nz/#!J5MTnSpb!xhvzThIxuDL3BZG7JCPso2SK47e_hprdJzo_MiR82mQ Datsun 240Z / Nissan Fairlady Z [Version 1.80] Original Design and model: Benjamin Exell Handling modifications: Ricklandia Engine and Transmission modifications and options: Ricklandia **Base engine sounds borrowed from the rFactor1 HistorX mod / Jaguar 3.0L inline 6** Additional engine and other sounds: Ricklandia and ISI Modifications and Additional materials include: 3 Engines to select from - factory stock 2400cc L24 - Dual SU Carbs - 151 HP mildly tuned 2600cc L26 - Dual SU Carbs- 180 HP race prepped 2800cc L28 - Triple Weber Carbs - 225 HP 2 Transmissions 4-Speed Manual [USA only] 5-Speed Manual Chassis - Weight and balances set to factory specs - handling dramatically improved. You should find the car very capable and stable at slow through moderate to high speeds. Push too hard and you will find the rear end wanting to swap ends on you - just like the real world 240Z is prone to do! Other - Fixed headlights and a few other minor details along the journey too.
I took the first z240 to see AI driving (I wasn't able to play at that moment, W.A.F. was low) and it was left handled. I heard than GP 2014 don't have this problem <====That's what I call a stupid trolling message, sorry about that Saying that, if physic and FFB is good that's exactly the kind of car I can really enjoy, will see tonight! thanks for sharing! Edit: bump view seems at the good level (height) so it could be your solution too, with one of our nice HUD.
I think AI is slow with all mods in Putnam... Intresting car, will test soon, hope it's good EDIT: Seeing the videos, some LOD problems I think. Also, are you going to add hand animation?
Yeah didn't make any LOD's as I didn't get round to it for my uni submission. Will try to add them if I get time. Same thing with the animations. Busy with job interviews and stuff at the moment So don't think it will run that well on lower end systems with a lot of cars. Glad you lot are excited about this though
Just tried them both, nice ffb and physics. My negative point is that the 240z sounds more like a v8 than an inline 6, and the tachometer from the skyline shows 0rpm on idle.
I remember I've made an AI update some time ago. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/8177-Poznan-Circuit-by-SimRacing-pl-WIP?p=229981&viewfull=1#post229981
Nice work Ben, thank you. OT: Your Avatar and Track Day video has me wishing and hoping big time for a rF2 Mini.
